Hello again, i havnt been on the site in a while but was mooching when I saw this post.  We used a fabulous company UK-SPAIN-UK REMOVALS SL  they are not the cheapest but the service is very good, we have sent several thing to the Uk from spain and have recommended them to many friends relocating to the Uk. Give them a call they are good.  Oh and if we get the chance to go back to spain we will deffinately use them.

Hi

We have recently used UK-SPAIN-UK REMOVALS for our move from Benalmadena to South Wales.  We had heard good reports about them so we decided to use them.  Tony came round to the house and we went through everything with him that we were taking.  He made it sound so simple.   We had the full packing service included in our price and everything arrived in South Wales when Tony said it would and more importantly everything was in 1 piece.  We were so relieved.

I recommend them to everybody I know and I also have friends that are coming back to the UK so I've recommended them as they take care of everything.   They are so friendly and professional, they take the stress out of moving.

There are lots of European removal companies offering different services so "the best" will depend on your requirements Nicks Removals offers dedicated and part loads with rural load transport free of charge. Make sure your removal company gives full business address and they are fully insured.

Its always unfortunately when things do not work out sometimes if there is extra goods or a different delivery location specified this can change the price.

Look for a member of the BAR or AIM in the UK. Matthew James is a BAR member and i am sure there are others in Spain.

I recommend The British Removal Company, can't remember their UK number, but here on 0034 952 426 463. They have moved me a few times, and I think they are great on service and price.

Lots of companies out there competing for your business, cheapest is not always the best option check out the reviews and talk to each business in turn some will give the personal touch others more of just another customer feel, personaly my self i prefer small dedicated movers** EDITED - Advertising **

Do not use :ROY TREVOR REMOVALS :

Where do I start ?

Unable to attend for "quotations" which they stated they would do &on speaking to them  which resulted in issues such as :
a)incorrect number of staff to pack and load
b) insufficient packing materials
c)vans that were too small
d)delays in delivery
e)furniture left behind and damaged
d) items incorrectly packed and insufficiently protected because "they ran out of packing and protective material"therefore more breakages and losses.
f)further costs &stress to me and my family sustained to procure &pay  another removalist
g)further costs to store stuff left behind until they could collect

NB:
1)Unauthorised use of a credit card .
They were supposed to destroy credit card information after each payment made (legally ) .They did not .
Details were kept on file and re-used later fro another payment without obtaining permission for the second time .

2)Last but definitely not least ,after advertising their membership with BAR & specifically indicating this to me when I raised a dispute , these were the steps taken by ROY TREVOR REMOVALS:
a)They initially offered me a payment of £200.00.
b)They they stated my claim was "too late ".
c)They then put the blame on another company "Northwest Removals"with whom I did not have a contract.

I  contacted BAR :
BAR contact RTR and tried mediation which they agreed to .
During this "mediation ":
They said they would fix an item(an 18th century Chinese screen)
they asked "someone "with no antique restoration knowledge to  do this .When I questioned this -all communication stopped -offer closed and they advised BAR mediation that I was "unco-operative)

After no communication from either RTR and BAR on my sending an e-mail requesting communication, they state I have "24hrs to produce itemised proof of items damaged "
After this was provided , I was advised by BAR MEDIATION that RTR are" not responding to any communication "and i should take this to adjudication .

So to .Arbitration @BAR-:
this does not work as RTR not co-operating .

I'm then referred to BAR INDEPENDENT ADJUDICATION KNOWN AS IADRS-(Independent Resolution Dispute Services )
I AM TOLD TO PAY £100.00.
I PAY .

after x2 -3weeks ,On querying re-the delay & requesting feedback from BAR ARBITRATION and from IADR,
I am advised by IADR THAT PAPERWORK WAS NEVER RECEIVED  from BAR ARBITRATION.

THEN

BAR ARBITRATION apologises and states RTR now states my removal was done by "NORTHWEST REMOVALS  UK "and they are not responsible and ask if I has a contract with NWR.

I point out my contract was with RTR which is very clear .

BAR ARBITRATION  then ask me which depot -I state RTR  advise AND QUOTED online and stated or implied they were in UK and SPAIN

BAR ARBITRATION then state that ROT TREVOR REMOVALS ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THE BAR
THEREFORE THEY ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT THE CASE .

SO:
AFTER ALMOST 3-4 MONTHS OF PAPERWORK AND ACCEPTING THE CLAIM
BAR HAS STATED THAT ROY TREVOR REMOVALS aka MOVING MATTERS SL ARE NOT MEMBERS OF THE BAR .

MY QUESTION THEN :
Why does RTR state and purport to be a member of BAR if they supposedly are  NOT ?
Why did BAR accept the claim ?
Is this not false representation and is it not illegal to claim membership of an organisation which a potential client would view as a sort of protection and guarantee that their goods are in safe hands ?

We are moving over to the Orihuela Costa area from Manchester in July, we need someone honest, trustworthy and reliable, it's not a full house load, we reckon it's about 7 cubic metres, some of the prices we have been quoted have been twice the amount the actual possessions are worth, the large haulage companies are very expensive, I've tried Coles but haven't heard back yet, can anyone help please, any help would be much appreciated.
