Schooling

Hello,

My little girl attends San Luis School in Sabinillas but is getting to the age where she will have to go to high school.  The school she would usually go to is in Manilva and (rightly or wrongly) I continually hear bad reports about it.

Does anyone know if there are any options when it comes to selecting a high school in Spain?  Please note that I am not in a position to pay for private education at this time.

My friends child went to Primary School in La Cala from the age of 4 - 11 and after Primary they automaticly get placed into the local Secondary Schools. But they decided to move in-land to Coin, where they then had the choice of 3 Secondary School. They didnt have any problems enrolling their son into a good School up here, where he is just finishing his last year.

I think if you have issues with that Secondary School, then definitely scout around for others. But make sure you have enrolled her in before July, maybe earlier, you may have to find out from the School she is in now.
