renting a space in a hotel

Hi

       does anyone know if its possible to rent a space in a hotel to sell 'knick knacks,' to holiday makers.I was wondering if it only allowed for locals. I have seen people doing this when i have holidayed eg face painting etc, but i cant remember if they were English or not. Many thanks in advance.

I think your best bet is to contact a few hotels yourself, most of them will speak English.

I don't think you can just set up a stall to sell goods anywhere, you will need to contact your local town hall and get a licence just as any shop or market stall would have to do, they will want to know you are a bonafida business registered in Spain and that everything you sell is to EU standards for many reasons..

What just like the traders selling DVDs, designer sunglasses and handbags?

Well we all know where they get their products from and would you really buy a pair of sunglasses from a market stall! I have seen my of these sellers myself and  would recommend a good pair of Nikes and a good holdall to gather goods and scarper when the Guardia Civil arrive and should you not have the proper paperwork. 2 wrongs don't make a right! But, if you are successful let me know and I will probably set a stall up myself...
