Hi - we bought a 1 bed apartment in Golf Suites phase last year and were told that they should be completed late 2009 - does anyone have any other info ??? - it's exciting to read comments from all you other folks who are closer to completion in Jardines and Naranjos phases - good luck

Nice to know were not the only ones out there that have bought in Golf Suites - we were told in Aug'07 that completion would be in 2009 - we worked with Polaris as our agent and I have just asked them if they can give us any further information on projected start dates for "our" phase - based on reports from other buyers at "Jardins" it sounds as if some folks are completing 4 - 6 months ahead of time - I hope that this means the Golf Suites phase will commence building earlier than planned - PATONY

Sorry folks - got carried away in excitement - we used PARADOR as our agent (not Polaris direct) - when looking at Polaris own web site it appears that there are still 145 apartments for sale on Golf Suites out of the total 246 availability - I guess they already sold 101 - c ya

Patony, don't rely on the Polaris website as I saw my plot up for sale 3 months after I purchased it

Hi everyone, spoke to polaris today, my bank guarantee should be in place end of next month and completion should be finished 2nd half of 2009, hopefully we are all the same

Just paid our second installment, but still no sign of the bank guarantee for the first, even though our Spanish solicitor has been chasing for some months.

Hi all - I know that Danseex explained that Polaris sales/availability numbers could be unreliable, but, I keep looking at the POLARIS web site and selecting the "properties for sale" section - then selecting "apartments" + "Golf suites" + value "up to E100,000" - this (should) then list all the apartments which are still for sale, a total of aprox 100 - at least it gives a guide as to which blocks and apartments are 'theoretically' still available - thekeeve - don't know if this helps or adds to confusion - c ya

Has anyone received an e-mail from an agent offering defaulted La Torre apartments at half price?

Yes - I received the e-mail (think it was from Villa Cashback).  They were offering them at 50% reduction on the contract price.

 

I've heard that the last 14 properties in La Torre that had just been offered at a at 50% reduction are now all sold. They got snapped up within a couple of days.

Someone's got some major bargains.

I wouldn't like to be sitting on my Town House terrace talking to my neighbour, hearing they paid upto 100 grand less.

Despite requests from myself and my Spanish solicitor, I am still waiting for Bank Gurantees for the deposit and 2 stage payments from PW.  Has anyone received these?  All I have is the receipts.

I have not had mine yet despite attempts by my solicitor an myself, all you get off Polaris when I phone is its another dept !!!

We are still waiting for our bank guarantee from our first stage deposit paid in November 2007. We told Polaris through our solicitor and directly to their own customer services depatrment that we will not pay our 2nd stage deposit until the outstanding guarantee is recieved.

Polaris Customer Services advised that they would not seek further payment without providing the outstanding guarantee. As our next payment is due in July we'll see what happens between now and then.

We paid our first installment on the 3rd October 2007 and wouldn't have known about bank guarantees if we hadn't found this site. We thought the receipts for monies paid were all we needed. When we realised that we didn't have guarantees we contacted our solicitor and they already had them, they sent us copies and they are dated 4th December 2007. Why we have them and other people seem to be having trouble with them, I don't know. Just for the record, we are not working with an agent and we have a Spanish solicitor.
