Great Pics

But that still doesnt look a fully equipped, state of the art gym to me I believe that even on cruise ships the gym is in a separate area and not the side of the pool.

Hi again,

With regards to the age limit for the equipment and jaccuzzi etc, I fully agree, there should be an age limit so I suggest that it should not be used by anyone over 50 for health and safety reasons.

Cheers Jay

Would there be a lower age limit for the safe use of gym equipment?

Better not make it too low, wouldn't want you to miss out on anything!

Regards,

Lorraine Braid 12-3-07. (under 50 but over 16!)

Pool looks very inviting. Pictures look good Lorraine. Had a fabulous time. Looking forward to coming out later this month.

Has any one dealt with Uk shopping in Spain on Mojacar Playa?

They bring over anything from UK. ( For example PC world, John Lewis, MFI , Debenhams , Dixons, Ikea, Comet , M & S etc )

Sounds good.

Though dont be tempted to buy a T.V. though.

They work on a different signal over in Spain.

The suggestion about an age limit for the use of the gym, sauna etc is very good, at the centre my wife and I use the min age is 16 in the gym, 18 in the sauna and steam rooms.

I have asked the staff about the age difference, the reason given was that the sauna and steam room are only supervised by CCTV, the gym has instructors present.

We will need to check out the Spainsh health & safety laws and regulations, because if it is the same as the UK we could be liable if someone has an accident and decides to sue.

Hello

Some thoughts

1) Dont disagree that gym equipment should be supervised, but how will the restrictions be policed?  If Health and Safety is an issue then we should all be given a key, which is the responsibility of the owner. This would stop children and non residents using the facilities

2) Is the proposal that children shouldn't be allowed to use the pool as well?  I dont agree with this. I have children and would expect to use the apartment out of summer months and expect my family would want to use the indoor pool from time to time.

3) However, if people are restricted from using the facilities then this should be reflected in the community charge and a separate membership scheme setup that people pay for.  If my family is not allowed to use the facilities then I dont want to pay for them.

More for the community meeting?

I can see where you are coming from.

The problem we will experience is rental properties. They are bound to advertise the facilities . Are they going to act responsibly!

Still got an issue with the opening times though. Dont think it should be shut throughout summer.

Hi Lee

Are you saying that the indoor pool and ALL the facilities will be closed in the summer - or just the indoor pool.

Not that I agree with either, We're going to be paying for it aren't we.

Like many others we are advertising our place as having use of spa, gym etc.

regards

Carol

It says " Piscina Recreativa Y Chapoteo: Desde Octubre A Abril "

which translates to

"Recreational Pool And Chapoteo: From October to April"
Anyone know what Chapoteo means?
Picture was dated 1st  November by the way.

My view is that all indoor facilities should be open all-year round, including the pool. As many others have said, Thalassa is advertised as a Spa development, and the rental potential could be damaged if precisely the spa facilities are closed on high season.

Thanks

Francisco

Why should the community pay for the costs of the indoor pool during high season, just to generate revenue for those who rent.

The benefit would be for all, not just  forthe people who may rent, as of course everyone is entitled to use the facilities if they remain open the whole year round.

At least the gym and spa facilities should be open during the summer, but I do not see a clear way to keep these open while the indoor pool is shut. Either you shut all or you let everything open. In that case, I'd rather choose to keep them open.

Cheers

Francisco
