   i am new to the forum but can i ask has anyone been successful in claiming monies back or do we have to wait till end oct 07 to legally pursue this option ?

Hi Anne welcome to the site, with regards to getting you’re money back, personally I don’t think anyone will receive anything in the short term if you cancel now  with Urbasa not being cash rich  until the development is finished when I hope funds will then be made available for such. However this begs the question do we cancel now giving up the rights to our apartment or do we cancel when its finished? my view is that I don’t envisage cancelling yet as at least  I hold the rights to the  apartment. With regards to return of money I had a meeting last week with Urbasa they stated they are not totally responsible for all the moneys as it appears Palmera are also liable for some % of the return. Plot thickens

 

Let’s just hope they are true to their word this time and get the job done soon, the apartments when and if finished will be nice and well worth what we paid even in today’s market.

 

We just want out..since we reserved our penthouse in October 2002 things have changed..how the hell does anyone know when they should be free of financial penalties if there's all of this chaos going on.  Does anyone know for sure when the contract with Urbasa is in breach..by date? we fear the worst, and that is complete loss of our hard-earned cash.  We've heard absolutely nothing from Palmera or Urbasa since the letter stating a June 07 completion. Has anyone any knowledge of someone cancelling and getting any cash back?

we finally got in the almoradi office and spoke to laura who was suppose to have left She couldnt tell us anything she said we should go to the elche office and speak to her bosses but we didnt get time to do that

i have taken some more pics for you guys but nothing as changed for the better except the building facing and at the side I will put the pics on tomoz - sunday

while i was over there i have given my solicitor power of atourney to either get the money back or to take them to court on or after the 18 of september when the contract runs out
