 I've only posted on eye on Spain a few times but I read comments and follow some threads and of course if there is something of interest Phil, my better/worse/equal ½ keeps me informed. Everybody knows who we are and we do not hide behind a mask. I blog regularly on our web-site, naranjosuno.com and have been criticized in the past for writing my opinions on websites, facebook and other social networks and I will probably be criticized for this posting but I need to ask this question of Mileniun supporters – Why do you think they are so good?

I am well aware that the gardens look great, that the security is reliable and give a blanket of security for us all and the streets and roads are clean – so yes the gardeners, security guards and cleaners are doing a great job and Mileniun pay their wages on our behalf but I'm sorry I don't think that makes a good administrator?  

They send us pictures of mended tiles and street-lights that have been replaced so why is there still broken tiles around and path lights that haven't been repaired?

 

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine pulled onto the under-covered parking area under penthouse 16 only to have half the front of his car disappear down a hole. Why did the front of the car disappear down a hole? Well recently the sewers on the penthouse were repaired so the car-park was dug up, sewers repaired and the concrete replaced to repair the car-park. The repair was obviously of poor quality as the car sunk into a hole. Luckily, he didn't park fully on the repair as the car would have been damaged further. Granted Mileniun acknowledged the fact that the damage was their fault and paid for the repair of the car but . . . . . need I say more. The hole in the car-park is not repaired so beware if you need to park under penthouse 16.

Penthouse 16 has problems. There are several apartments that have leaks and it seems to be a structural fault so why hasn't it been repaired using the 10 year builders warranty? Is there a 10 year warranty or has it been left to lapse? These last few weeks have been very wet and one couple spent their holiday with buckets on the floor watching water pour into their apartment power less to do anything about the problem. This problem has been running for around 2 years – the owners are powerless to repair the problem, Mileniun are not they hold all the cards.

There is a hole in the entrance of penthouse 11 which has been there for over a month – why hasn't it been repaired? Shouldn't our administrators have it repaired? Is it because of insurance​ - but are they not the insurance agents?

There is a utility box which has been reduced to rubble on the path outside one of the penthouses – again it has been taped off since the summer – why hasn't it been repaired?

The exterior walls on terraces especially Nananjos and some of the fronts of the penthouses where the water planters have leaked look messy. The paint is wearing away and the areas around the planters are going an interesting shade of green. Will they be restored to their gleaming white former glory?  Have you seen the painting budget for next year?  €30,000 - Not a lot of painting then.

Why are satellites/internet dishes being allowed by Mileniun? They are against the community rules and yet more and more are being put up. In fact – Mileniun seem to allow any permanent alteration even if it doesn't conform to the rules but will send security around if an umbrella appears by the pool side even if it is in a stand and doing no harm to anybody – is it just me or is it madness?

So these are but a few things I see as problems along with many disillusioned residents who have long given up on democratic elections – many have still not received the official proxy voting forms for voting at the AGM, whilst some gardens received them over a month ago!  So I ask again of ML supporters – Why are they so good?

I know the resort has grown over the past 12 – 18 months, I don't dispute that but is this down to ML?

I have heard and read in places that ML have done a good job of getting Al Kasar, the club house and the sports centre up and running,  but really????    This has absolutely nothing to do with them but down to private investment between independent owners, IRM and of course the exit of polaris.     So, Why are ML supporters so loyal?

This is alarming, when this comes to a head and I believe it will. I for one would prefer to keep this in house and employ people within the community to run it.

 Been studying the accounts and read your thread with interest.

It seems that we cut grass etc but major repairs seem to have to wait.

Is it a problem with 10 year builders guarentee / insurance or no money will wait for the answer?

Have also struggled to understand breakdown

miscellaneous 34070.09 euros a break down please!!!!!!

repairs to pools the same /  maintainence the same

If I told you that I fixed your pool at home and you owed me 2000.00 you would want to know what I had spent it on not the total well the same here please!!!!!!

Also it leaves a bad taste that some president candidates had proxy forms months ago and some did not get them untill six day before AGM.I hope one of the presidents who got them out all that time ago can tell us How and why they got treated better than others that will be intresting as well. ( the evidence of this has been clearly post on here by people saying in some gardens they have had their proxys for ages) yet Chaddy was refused time and time again!!!!

All I want is fairness / accountability / and openess is that to much to ask??

I also receive regular photos of replaced garden light. In fact I think many are replaced on a regular basis but why is ML allowing this to happen on so regular basis. It must be costing the community thousands. Is it children or is it the gardeners who are showing no respect.
My advice to ML and the garden presidents to find out why & not just pay out our hard earned cash all of the time. If it is children of any age then the parents should have to cover part of the cost if it is their kids causing the damage  on a regular basis& if it is the gardeners then get rid of them I am sure there are many Spanish people looking for a job who would treat Condado with the respect it deserves.
Ham has a much larger budget to manage than that of ML. He is responsible for the whole of the ambulance service in the Warwickshire area. He also responds as a paramedic
As well as a full day shift he has to do on call duty`s during evenings & weekends, but If he did not provide a full & detailed breakdown of his yearly spend many questions would be asked.
If you think that ML work hard for their pay I don’t. Ham could do their job with one hand tied behind his back and I am sure that there are other buyers on this site that have the same work ethic that he has. The only thing that ML offer us that Ham could not provide is the ability to converse in Spanish, though knowing him he would be fluent in 12 months
I for one do not support ML

Lesley, do you have an issue with the Penthouses? In one thread you have probably completed destroyed any owners hope of ever renting out their property.

I don't think Lesley has anything against the penthouses, what she has commented on is fact, have you seen the hole in the car park and where the sub station was knocked down, when we were out in Octobr none of these had been repaired. If Iwere a owner in the golf suites I would be asking the questions from ML as to why they are not being repaired. Perhaps they don't have the manpower as they are using someone to  walk around the resort taking pictures of some prat changing a lightbulb. Priceless!!!!

Fair point Andyclarke.  I was concerned that renters might be put off by the focus Lesley put in her post.  I assume that many people purchased in Penthouse 16 due to its proximity to Al Kasar.  Anyway, I see from Lesley's blog on the Naranjos Uno site, that the repairs are already underway.  The power of the pen as she puts it.  Well done Lesley.

 Thanks to the great efforts from the T-family and their trolls to make the sun shine every day, bring joy and laughter to the residents and guests alike and take care of our souls, we all should praise the lord to have them here with us. Who cares about broken street lights, silly little things like gardeners and security staff, barking dogs day and night, that's minor issues and can be dealt with by self administration. That's all not important as long as the trolls take care of the sunshine..., be aware, the resort will end up in a big mess if the gang proceeds. Frank

Your are not being objective Frank, at least heed experience based  warnings I am giving you and explore the detail of what is happening, explore the very cleat attempts of the Administrator to take full control, to deny the owners the information they request, the freedom to vote in an unfettered way, explore the background to the devisive email they sent to you about someone trying to represent the owners.

I restate I have no personal interest in CDA,, I don't know a single owner except the one I bought my wifes car from, and I know nothing of the administrator other than what I have read here but don't easily be fooled and don't take them at face value.... they have one motive and one only, to make money from CDA.... nothing at all wrong with that but first they have to deliver their package of responsibilities fully met and they have to manage the urbanisation in the way it's representatives have requested.

Oh and as a further but more obscure similarity with here, we also got the name calling from a handful of owners... The Gang, you and your mates, etc etc, that name calling has not been seen since we were elected and were able to expose the reality of our dillema... thankfully in our case we were able to give the owners who wanted to listen lots of clear examples and information of how bad the situation was and we set out a clear strategy for getting out of the mire and they elected us.

For CDA I have said a number of times that self administration would be a challenge and is not what I am advising , but to get your administrator to conform you need to be able to negotiate from a position of strength with support from the owners... don't vote yes for him and give your Presidents the mandate to make the changes in the way they operate,  that is what is necessary in my opinion.

I shall leave my contribution there as your AGM looms but willing to answer questions from anyone that has them.

 Barry, I dont know where you are based but I understand that you are not owner on CDA, right? If so, why do you try to sell the self administration in defense of what interest? Who allows you to constantly insult the locals with your comments? Maybe your experience was not the best with your administrator but does this mean they are all behaving the way you blame them? Are all people in your opinion bad or just Spanish administrators, do you also include the staff? Have you experience in running a resort with, correct me if I am wrong, about 3500 units?

We should leave the resort to the trolls around the sacked president and see how it looks like in 6 months, maybe then people will wake up and see the results. Yes, I want to have the president back who published the security details of the resort, yes I want to have Misses back, publishing insulting letters to start another war on CDA, yes I want all staff from the pub and the sports bar as presidents and yes, I want to have sun shine every day, so keep on canvasing for your plans, surely time will show the outcome.

First and foremost. I will never use a pseudonym to hide behind. If I have anything to say I will openly say it on here. Or to you personally on CdA if you so prefer, regardless of the critism which may ensue. Just to ensure the person using the pseudonym FranknFurter or any other's is not confused with me.

People such as him/her have totally ruined what was an excellent site for us originators of 2005/6.

I said I would answer questions and there are quite a few in FrankNfurters post so here goes... but firstly let me say if FrankNFurter could actually read he would not have needed to ask those questions:

Correct as I have said many times but don't worry my advice comes free of charge and you don't have to heed it.... read my posts for confirmation.

I don't, what I tell you is that we had no choice on MCC and for us it has been a total success, for CDA my recomendation is that you vote against the Administrator being renewed and then negotiate with them from a position of strength to ensure they work for the Presidents who are elected by the owners, if they won't respond change them....... read my posts for confirmation.

I don't and won't insult anyone either at CDA or in general, I may just allow myself a slight one at the end of this post though, all I have done is advise on the huge amount of similarity there is at CDA with what we went through 3 years ago when we had an Administrator that was working against the interests of owners and the laws of the HPL in an effort to run the urbanisation as his own little nest egg. Your administrator is following the same path but  some are willing to ignore those obvious symptoms, that is not insulting them but merely pointing out their deficiences..... read my posts for confirmation.

There is no maybe about it we had a bad administrator that was allowed to do what he did by a weak committee and President that he hoodwinked into believing he was god. Thankfully in our case we had a large group of owners willing to get stuck in and ensure that his dirty tricks were seen through, the last one of which was to change the proxy voting form at the last minute , which is what ML have also just done. He then allowed the developer to vote despite a huge community fee debt to try and thwart a landslide vote for us. Watch out for something similar when you have your AGM on the 24th... oh sorry they have also changed the date just recently haven't they. Those that behave badly are very easy to identify because of the things they do but only when you have had the experience of one and the tricks they employ can you then identify them...I have that experience you obviously don't and for your own reasons choose to ignore mine... fine for me but if you are an owner you will be sorry going forward...... read my posts for confirmation.

I have explained before that I work for a multinational company here in Spain, I work with and employ many Spanish personell all of whom are a pleasure to work with and are lovely people to boot so please don't try and pull a race card out of the bag, good people and bad people exist everywhere in the world  the trick is to identify those that are working against your best interests, sometimes it takes time to discover the truth but the longer it takes the more your interests will be damaged..... read my posts for confirmation

No I haven't we have just 750 villas on our urbanisation, I don't know how many units you have on your resort and frankly FrankNfurter I don't really care, what I care about isdoing my best to warn fellow expats wherever they come from of the signs of an administrator whose objective is to take total control  and use all the tricks he can to ensure his objectives are achieved, If I didn't know better I would swear that your administrator is our old one the tactics used are so similar...however I do know for certain that is not the case..... read my posts for confirmation

Now for you FrankNfurter, I have a pretty good idea who you are as writing styles are difficult to change if you really want to shut me up don't ask me any more questions and stop trying to associate me with the rubbish you have just written, suggest you make a cup of coffee and put your feet up on one of your sofas because life on CDA could get a little turbulent after your AGM if you get your way.
