I have successfully registered online with Endesa. I can now view all my bills on line.  Whilst there the other week my February bill was posted to the apartment, this was a stroke of luck as you need the last bill to be able to register on line.  The web site once registered is very easy and in English.

Just back ffroma three day trip good to see familiar faces about but I was terrible at remembering names my apologies if i walked past anyone in town.

This was my first trip that left me down beat. I entered my top floor apt to find water leaked in from the flat roof. As we have revnetly heard the winter has been an extremely wet one with unusal storms. My apt was one of the unlucky ones that suffered water sepeage from the storm. The problem was compounded by all windows/close resulting in much damp ect. It was suggested i should leave some areas with opend windows for ventilation. I am now takint his risk and have doen so. Francisco has left  to be replace by a helpfull Mari Paz although english was even more limited than Francesco's. She promised today men will go on to the roof ancdcheck things out. Today i have been chasing Intasure the insurance company.

I too found My electric bill posted at my door Hope i can also register on line Laurdan. I may get back to you i have any problems.

I left on a high note met more nice people and the area is such a lovley spot. I hope Priensur do sell more of the empty apartments and get on with other jobs other than the beautifully kept grounds

Hope no one else has the same problem.

adios freddie

We too had water penetration in bedroom (2), water had penetrated the walls where the Juliet balcony joins the property.  It is I guess inevitable considering the construction of the building; they are built for the heat and not the appalling weather that this part of Spain has experienced this winter.  They have had a considerable amount of rain that has caused a lot of damage to properties. When it rains the water falls of the roof and straight down the building walls and then into the ground floor apartment terraces. When I was there a few weeks ago I noticed a great deal of water damage to the buildings in some cases the empty ground floor apartments have mould growing outside so goodness knows what they are like inside.  The sun will come out and dry everything out but that will then cause paint to flake and even render to blow.  Let’s hope the damage will not be too bad. I agree with you the gardens were looking very good, I only hope that they will keep the whole of the development  looking equally as good.

Our air con was not working again and believe me you do need it in the winter we were freezing and couldn’t wait to get home.   This is a first for me.

The aircon issue seems to be a recurring problem.  I'd be interested to know if people out permanently have had problems?  We seem to have to get them out about twice a year to fix either the hot or cold.

My only knowledge of aircon is on an industrial scale, where it is running at 20 degrees, 24/7 with not too many problems.  This is also the same for my work accomodation aircon.  I'm working in Saudi at present with temperatures of 37/38 and the only problem is very occasional tripping, probably due to power outage.

We too had trouble with our air-con while we were out there about a month ago. It was f-f-freezing. We had to go and buy new duvets and radiators. Not great. We tried to get someone out to look at it, but, to be fair, the rain was too bad for anyone to go on the roof. The one good day we had, no-one showed up though and there seemed little empathy for our situation.

Tracey, you're right. I think we need to keep an eye on the state of the buildings themselves over the coming years, because this rain, if it re-occurs, could cause problems that need to be dealt with fairly quickly if they are not to develop into greater ones. As my old dad used to say "Cheap is dear." Spend the money now, saves you spending much more later.  Let's hope the developers think the same. M

Hi Traey didnt you have your air con serviced last year?.Me thinks we should arrange a engineer to check them..........Something is obviously wrong ours needed regassing in January.I have been told that you should only need to regass every 4 years.Anybody any suggestions. They need a proper air con engineer not the jack of all trades that priensur send round.

Exactly...It was serviced!   I can probably count on two hands the amount of weeks that it has actually worked properly.  We are hardly ever there so it should have been plain sailing for us for four years....Yet, we arrived Feb 26 to find no hot or cold (not that we needed cold) air.  Ricky said this morning that it may be a good idea to commision a reputable air con technican to fix ours once and for all.

If the air con is installed correctly in the first place there should be no loss of gas hence no need for a service,a lot of the problems on Arenal Golf another prienesur development was with the electrical connection in the out door units located on the roofs of the various blocks were burning out.Is there no company around your development that you could strike a deal with on air con repairs for the whole development?

Thanks for that nuetral,All our problems seem to be gas escaping.Maybe they need to do a dye test like they do on cars to find were the leak is.After all it is down to a crap engineer who fitted them.

There's always the chance not enough gas was installed in the first place if a lot of apartments have the same problem, the only place for gas leaks is at the indoor unit (in our apartment its in the ceiling above the shower/bathroom)or the pipework going up to the outdoor unit on the roof.I'd favour getting your own company to fix this rather than depend on Prienresur's workmen.

mine isnt right either.   but when they bring an 'engineer' they say its fine. but having it on 30,   24hrs a day should surely make the place very warm but all it really does is take the chill off in the winter.   seems ok on cold but there again, i have to have it on it on the opposite end of the scale.   i'd be happy for somebody to come and look at them.  Also, it isnt going to be very economically efficient now we are paying for electricity either if it needs to be on constantly to have any effect.

I wonder if we should all contact our solicitors and say there is a common fault? Might as well try to get the developer to pay for it. Personally, ours has never really worked yet, and that's unacceptable. What do other people think?  M

The trouble with that Margo they would send the same cowboy to probably top them up and not really repair them.Personally I would rather get a reputable guy in who could do them all at the same time.

Yes I can see your point there Ken. I'm happy to chip in for someone to do all our systems if that's what everyone else decides. We'll probably get a better deal that way.  Wouldn't want to be thought of as organising people and being bossy though, so it's only a suggestion at this stage. M

I have already informed my solicitor of the current issues concerning my apartment.  I suggest that you all do the same, It wont cost you anything and at least it is recorded with a professional .  When I email Priensur I always cc my solicitor in.

As far as the air con is concerned, I don't want it to turn out a case of better the devil you know.  I am under the understanding that our systems are still under guarantee.  Therefore they should be put right under that guarantee.  If mine needs re-gassing then I can only assume that I have a leakage somewhere in my set up, either the piping or it could be an electrical fault.  I would have thought that if there is a leakage there must be some way to test??  Whatever is wrong with the summer approaching I will be eager to get it repaired and my patience will run out with Priensur.  I would like to get my own guy in and then bill Priensur but I think I will have a long wait for the invoice to be paid LOL.

It may be that we will have to organise our own air con repair man individually, as collectively it may become messy as far as dates and billing goes.    But it is food for thought that we may need a good guy for the future.

Another one to add to the list, our air conditioning has never worked properly and we have to use heaters in the winter to keep the place warm which is not good enough. I have advised the site office of this along with some other faults that have arisen but dont seem to get anywhere- any advise would be appreciated as to how to proceed

As a matter of interest we have just returned yesterday and as we left they had dug a hole next to the pool in front of block 6 and it looked like they were draining it to carry out some works ?.

On another matter has everyone recieved their TV s yet , as we were told delivery would be november then january and now we have been told we need to contact the Cordoba office as the site office no longer deals with the TVs

See you all soon

hi all, even though we have left arenal I can tell you we had terrible trouble with water ingress in bedroom 2, coming in through the window frame/sill..got up one morning and paddled through to the kitchen from the master bedroom.. luckily the floor is so far out of level the water stayed in bed 2 / hall area, and the masonary as of when we left was saturated....on a high note our air con worked fine, no probs....sorry.... However if anyone needs a good air con engineer P M me and I can put you in touch with a genuine guy who lives in sabbi who will no doubt be able to sort out your systems...he is a good friend and work mate of mine, the only problem is that he is very busy at the moment but I will ask him if he may be interested tomorrow...leave it with you..andy

Gary & Sandra,

Just to let you know, we kept on at the site office asking about the fantasy TV's!!! and were told that they no longer deal with the issue/delivery of the TV's. I did check with the girl in the site sales office and she showed me a file with my name on the list and explained that the TV's were being issued from the office in Cordoba, and that it would arrive eventually. She then explained that the girl responsible for releasing the TV's would be able to give us more details, and she provided us with the following;

Name; Yaizi Adsura

Telephone No; 0034 957 49 6276

When I spoke to Yaizi, she was very helpfull and explained that they received 4 or 5 TV's every month and she then checked that my name was on the list, this she confirmed and told me to phone again during the next month. She did explain that they were no longer using the site office to distribute the TV's. And 4 weeks ago she phoned to let me know it had arrived, I arranged for my key holder to receive the TV for me and sent Yaizi an email giving my consent to deliver the TV  to his address in Sotogrande. The TV was delivered to his home and he brought it round to our apartment a couple of weeks back.

We are out there in a weeks time, but what the hell I'm going to do with a 42" TV in that small lounge I don't know!!!!

It will come eventually!!

Regards

Steve and Carol
