Water Like electricity, when notice is pondran counters.

The right thing would be: cut off supplies of electricity and water when all meters are installed (not our problem that have not been made before, ¨ "There was no occupation license of 1)

Hi All ,

Have finally registerd with the electricity board to have meter installed I thought the cost was a bit high when you think that 14months ago the average cost was put at between €100.00 to €150.00, it has now gone up to €247.00,when I asked the Sol about the high cost the reason given is that the amount of power required for the apartment is 9KW and that is why the fee is so high, has anyone else paid this amount ?,we are just awaiting date for it to be done, I do think they should have given more notice as we where not out there and only for the fact that our key holder had gone to water plants and she seen the notice then contacted us . But what happens to those people who do not have someone looking after the place are they going to cut off.

With regard to the T/Vs can anyone tell me what sytem is in place for getting them ?.

We are due out there on the 26th Sept if anyone out there would like to meet up and have a chat about things out there ,

Regards

 Robbie  / Barbara

We haven´t been told any costs from our solicitor.Once you´ve signed up for electricity contract they should contact your solicitor to arrange getting into your apartment to install meter.(Sometime this week I believe) Water will happen the same-probably in about 10days time.

We´ll be here when you arrive on 26th.

Sue and Dave

Hi...we have friends with a place in the Port who indicated the price is dependant on the load..theirs is 6kw...but did say it 'trips' out if you have a couple of high juice appliances on together...maybe that is why we have a raised capacity ??

Our solicitor retained funds...when we have been billed I'll let you know....shame the free vend has ended...nice while it lasted !

Not sure if meters are inside apartments...or in a designated cupboard area.....for emergency purposes... if they needed to isolate a supply...?? we will wait and see I guess.

Re the TV....we live in hope and ache-ing fingers from keeping them crossed !! Just like Deal or No Deal !!

 P.S Fossie...I have sent you a PM...regards melwell

Hi.Melwell

What you say about your freinds in the port seems to tie in with what our Sol told me, hope this is the case because at present if we have the iron and oven on it trips out so mabye with the 9KW supply things will improve, with regard to where the meters are placed they will have to put them in a position where we can read the meter so we can check if what we are being charged is correct.

P.S to Fossie and any one who is out there hope to see you next week .

Regards

Robbie / Barbara.

Hi the water cupboards at each entrance seem ideally situated for the water meter...and maybe in the cupboards on each landing for electricity...not sure if  'smart metering' services are fully utilised everywhere for all utilities...if they are situated inside each dwelling , taking readings will be problematic for the reading agencies I would have thought...another journey into the unknown !!

Hi

I was told that i would be connected to Endessa electric on monday. The lawyers have seen to all the contracts and what ever else needed doing so they said!! , however no mention as yet as to meter charges. Could it be that i have already paid this when completting! and these expenses would hve been built in with the settlement figure. With a slight smile i ask Can any one shed any light!!!!

Im going out on the 11th for four days.

freddie

Hi Freddie,

You could be right as we have checked our final completion bill and there is a sum of €300.00 for the signing and conection of water but nothing for the electric, therefore I guess we have to pay the amount I have been quoted just hope there are no more hidden charges lurking in the shadows.

Enjoy your stay on the 11th,

Regards

Robbie / Barbara.

Everybody needs to be aware that you will not be connected to electricity unless Endessa can gain access to your apartment to fit the main isolator in the consumer unit.
