Well, I didn't realise quite how emotionally linked I am to Spain until tonight!  I sat on the edge of my seat the whole match - I wanted Spain to win SO MUCH!!!!  Let's hope this gives Espana the biggest party in the world for the next few days. You deserved it. Congratulations. xxx

As we can't be there, would anyone mind trying to find out for us exactly how many apartments have been sold please? I'm guessing that will be easy to find out, since they will have to provide various officers of thecommittee a list of owners they need to contact. It's lookin like a committee might be formed this time. If no-one is aware, there is a locked site for Arenal owners which is proving to be very useful to us if we need to talk confidentially. It might possibly be useful in the the initial setting up of a committee. Anyone who doesn't have it, please PM me and I will pass it on. Margo

Thanks Tracey, I have got it. One other point. Do we each have an individual vote, or is it just one vote per apartment?  We're not sure whether to fill in 2 forms. M

I'm still waiting to even receive an email! My understanding is that they have to give at least a month's notice and that there has to be a quorum (usually two-thirds of present members) for any votes to become policy. They have an automatic quorum though, I suspect, because they own so many apartments. However, if we all give our votes to a proxy, it will at least give us a greater voice.

I'd like to know exactly how many apartments have been sold. I.E. Exactly what their majority is. I'm working this weekend, no chance of time off.

I'm thinking of asking my solicitor to check the legality of this meeting.

We have just received a card today from our cousin who went to our apartment in Sabinillas for his honeymoon. He had the most fantastic time, and can't wait to come back. For our part, we have had quite a few very happy holidays in Sabbi now - we feel a lot of affection for the place. We too have taken goods back to Carrefour and received great service. When you think, that we can leave home at 5am and stand in our apartment 5 and a half hours later, that's very good news indeed. The only negative side for us is that we're not retired yet and we can't come and stay longer.
