A friend of mine who was using Aldea was very concerned because they had not transferred him the monies obtained from the enforcement of the bank guarantee. He decided to engage a new solicitor to find out what was going on and today he has been informed by him that Aldea is under severe financial problems and is not able now to give him his money. This is simply unbelievable!!

  To anyone using Aldea: get yourself another solicitor asap!

Just to offer some perspective, Aldea have just executed my BG, collected the money with interest and transferred the money into my Spanish Bank Account.

However, it has taken me 10 months to get to this position!

I am really interested that you managed to get interest paid on your BG.  We are due to go over to Spain at the end of next week to collect the money held under our one and only BG and was told that no interest was payable and if we wanted any interest we would have to sue the builder for it.  Our BG is with Banco Popular, are there different rules for different guarantees does anyone know?  Our second stage payment unfortunately is not covered by a BG (47K) and presumably we will need to go down the Court route to stand any chance of receiving any money from that payment.

Any advice would be welcome.

Yes aldea sent me bankruptcy papers today, and emailed me them 2 days ago so they are in big financial trouble as they have been keeping clients money after cashing in there bank guarantees... that is old news as stated on this site 6months ago!! they are thieves as well as liars. so get yourself a goooooooooooood... lawyer, as many of us have done and started group action in same relevant cases.

I think it a terrible shame if there are people out there still thinking its all still gonna happen or dont know what to do.. we can help each other by communicating! so make contact?

We have just received a phone call from Global forum again, concerning Aldea and asking for 200 Euros to start a claim against them. Will have to pay money straight away (200 Euros) or it will be late.  What do you think about this?  Has anyone else received a call today?

I received phone calls and emails last week, but i am already taking aldea to court and so have a lawyer.. I also wasnt sure it wasnt a scam? but maybe they could help.. for 200 euros you will have a report on how the law stands with your particular circumstances as i understood it? for them to proceed or for you to engage whoever? why dont you send a message to maria on this site to see if she has heard of them? she replys promply. web@costaluzlawyers.es

Out of interest were any of you purchasing through Parador and using Aldea on their recommendation?  There are other threads about Global Property Forum on the Eye on Spain forums which give cause for concern about this organisation.  Don't overlook the possibility that they may be linked.  This organisation contacted me about legal proceedings we are trying to take pressuring me to buy their validation service to see if I had a claim and although they wouldn't tell me how they got my contact details said it could have been the hire company we hired a car off whilst in Spain - funny that we have never hired a car!  If anyone does know anything concrete about this organisation I would appreciate them sharing it.

Yes, we are wondering the same about this Company, can not find anything out. Just what has been mentioned a few weeks ago on various forums. I mentioned this on the various forums and no reply from other people, this time around no one seems to be making any comments about Global Property Forum.  I feel personally they are not what they seem to be and we waiting to see our new solicitor at the end of this month when we go out to Spain.  We were with Aldea, but changes to these Solicitors a couple of months ago. Still don't have much faith in Solicitors these days either.
