community set up fees or court costs?

Irene if here was an extra charge for anything it would have to be agreed at a general meeting. As you know there was no menion of any extra fee and the monthly fees are staying the same so I'm afraid this looks like yet another mistake by GICS which you will have to take up with them

David if they can do this to me they can do this to everyone who pays by d/debit the way they are working no wonder people dont pay by d/debit and this is why so much is owed to the c/charges bye irene

Hi all i sent a email to gics yesterday and to day i got a email back to say sorry for there mistake as they seem to like taking 300 euros extra out of my bank a/c every 6 months and i was over 4 months in advance in my c/charge and they said they will pay it back to my bank a/c sap.Well great news and well done to gics for the email in 24 hrs.So i felt so bad to day as i voted not to keep gics as our administors  at the AGM but i am sure the votes at the agm  was to keep them after a very good agm irene

I'm glad it worked out Irene. You were voting to keep GICS for now. We will keep their preformance under review and if they are not good enough we will change after 3 months.

I had 229€ taken out of my account today by Gestagua which is pretty strange as I haven't signed for my water yet. I hope GICS haven't given them my bank details for someone else's apartment but I can't think of any other reason why they would have been able to take money out of my account.

david i have just got my lawers today to pay for my water and set up d/d  so dont say gics are doing that as well  what are they doing to us?irene

Irene don't worry, GIGS can't and won't give out bank account numbers to third parties. David, what probably happened is that your lawyer set up the contract with Gestagua. It is part of the initial deal you paid your lawyer for to also arrange connection to water and electricity, as they received the needed documents while signing for the keys last year.

I am not sure if Gestagua or Gigs contacted all the lawyers that we could sign the contracts now, but I have been talking to Gestagua a lot and they know there are a lot of people from abroad in Don Juan who would have trouble setting up the contract in the short time given. They said they would try to do as much as possible to get everybody their contracts so I suppose they have asked for Gigs to either contact the lawyers or got the list and contacted them themselves. 

Saskia you are right! I had severed all links with Lex Marbella collected what I thought was my complete file and cancelled their power of attorney. It appears that they kept my "Water Bullitin" and signed my contract but did not think it necessary to tell me!

For those wishing to manage their bank accounts in additiion to the initial fee the first regular payment will be taken in December and quarterly thereafter.
