Hi Colin, I think you're the man I need

Sometimes, when I click on certain pages, I get a blank page, apart from the EOS logo at the top & the advertise facility at the bottom, there's no content otherwise !

For example, when I click on  Living with the Presidente. under the far right list of Most popular blogs

It's the same with the The Spanish Eye blog under same header

When I click  on serveco (under the Newest blogs header) it's the same, a blank page apart from the EOS bit at top & bottom.

I am not having problems otherwise anywhere else on the site.

Also, it might be an idea to explain to those writing a blog for the 1st time, that if they don't create a post then no one can comment.

I shall look into it right now!

PS. Thanks for the Smileys, I've already had to use the 'red card' one in here!

Followed your links to all three and they work fine for me! The again the forum knows to behave around me else it gets a good kickin'

I did experience something similar when we were experimenting with new advertising methods, but we have reverted back and all is well.

What Internet Browser are you running and what version, also what version of Windows?

Colin & interesting as I just added EOS to my Google Chrome & bingo, these now allow me to view them.

We run IE6 & Windows XP. We did install IE7 some months ago but didn't like it so reverted back to 6. We know there's IE8 & have been exploring that.

I had a problem with just one thread in another forum recently & my OH installed Chrome on recommendation from the site owner & it gives me no problems now, just a different way to get into site.

So glad you like the smilies I gave you. I see you've used the red card one already, I clicked your link.

Great!

Glad all is ok now! I must admit IE causes so many problems for so many forums.

I use Google Chrome most of the time now, but having said that I have to use IE and Firefox in order to make sure things work for eveyone.

And I think I might be using that 'red card' smiley more often.

This is definitely an IE6 issue and I know what's causing it.  Although it's not so widely used now it does need resolving.

We'll get someone on it tomorrow.

BTW more, just out of interest, what screen resolution are you on?

Justin

I was asked this recently, Justin, & my OH looked everywhere to find it, where should he look ? It's not in handbook nor listed on back of the 17" LCD screen.

What you need to do is mimimise all the windows that you have open so that you can see your desktop screen (some people call it the background screen).

Right click on it and select "Properties".  In the window that appears select the "Settings" tab and there you will see what your screen res is.

Justin

Amazing what we don't know (but maybe should) isn't it ?

My OH searched Dell site for our flat panel monitor & found info I was about to give you till I saw your answer.

However what he found was this..

Resolution Horizontal Scan Range 30kHz to 81 kHz (automatic)

Vertical Scan Range 56Hz to 76Hz

Optical preset resolution 1280 x 1024 at 60Hz

Highest preset resolution 1280 x 1024 at 75Hz

When he looked where you told him to it was set to 1024 x 768 pixels. He tried to increase it to max 1280 x 1024, saved settings, but it just reverted back to the 1024 x 768.

Does this tell you something, Justin ?
