Hello and I hope someone out there may be able to help with my query.

I need to hire a 6 or 7 seater car in april for 12 days but it MUST be an "automatic" I have so far drawn a blank with the big brokers ie carjet, doyouspain etc I am hoping someone may have hired one before or knows where to possibly go......it must be 6 seat+ and automatic.

I think your best bet would be Hertz.  I know they do Chrysler Voyagers and I'm sure one of those would an auto.

Probably expensive and availability may be a problem - I can't see them having many around!

We used GoldCars recently.  Under £100 for 10 days with no excess and second driver.  That was from Alicante and they upgraded us free of chage from Fusion to a Diesel Focus.  We'll be booking them again.

Thanks for the replies, I tried car trawler, amigo, carjet, doyouspain, solmar, goldcar, etc etc and have also rang most as well,  used the internet. None have an option online for a auto 7 seater and was hoping someone may know a small "local" company somewhere along the spanish coast.

I have a 5 seater C4 picasso booked and then my sons friend has been added to our holiday but I didn't realise the problem it would cause. I am ok driving a manual but only for 1 or 2 days due to a dodgy knee.

aurigacrown at all major airports can supply a 7 or 9 seater under their minibus status, but the website does not clarify whether or not these are automatics. Predicted cost is 650 euros for 12days plus all the extras...Watch the small print re insurance...

Europcar ditto but incredibly expensive at over 3000 Euros for 14 days...

Have you tried emailing the companies you have tried to book with and asking the question? DYS usually answer questions quickly if it involves the possibility of aking more money!!

I have emailed DYS and had a reply and also called them in between but no joy. Everyone has 7 seaters but none offer an auto choice to book.

I suppose I am looking for something from a small local trader who may have something. Thanks for all your replies.

I reckon your best bet would be Niza Cars, never mentioned much on Spanish info sites but one of the oldest operators in Spain, they do all the golf tournerments,if they haven't got one nobody has!

Malagacar advertise 7 seater automatics, I used them last time and found them very good.

 I sometimes use centauro  ( search " centauro" on google and click the first link - sorry i couldnt send it I have to have made at least ten posts to send a link how stupid)

This link shows you the list of automatic vehicles they have and there is a 7 seater citroen C4 picasso grand.

A good website for car hire in spain is Booking Center Online.

It is the only website that allows you to make all-inclusive reservations. Select the PREMIUM option.
