We looked into rental management companies - but got scared off by all the horror stories ( apologies to all the good guys out there
)
We employ a local ex -pat couple ( English) , who do not look after our property as a business exercise but as a ' hobby' to make their pension stretch to extra luxuries.
There is much to be recommended in this kind of relationship.
They are flexible, they are always reachable, as they have lived in the area for years they are a font of local knowledge, they enjoy what they do, they look after the guests as a pleasure and ,as we are the only 'employers' there is never a clash of interests.
There must be lots of such couples in Spain - especially with their pensions dwindling with the exchange rate......
