Hand luggage prob not just terminal 5

 I was reading 'More's suggestion (hope you don't mind me calling you that') in the hand luggage thread. We flew out of Manchester with BMI in June, arrived in plenty of time , no queues, thought great.  Our hand luggage was checked (possibly because she didn't have much to do) and it wouldn't fit. Really miffed because it had been sold as cabin luggage but paid the hold bagge and left it at that. Until we were getting on the plane and the woman in front of me was carrying a paper carrybag, the type with long handles it was MUCH bigger than my cabin bag, really irritating.

On the way back in Alicante they were being really strict on the weight but again the departure lounge, one passenger had not been charged even though she was 2 kilos over weight. Just goes to prove it doesn't always pay to be at the airport early.

Hi both, More's fine  Seems it's become my nickname & used by many & it's quite endearing really, so feel free.

I've heard so many stories in so many forums about people using various airports & flying with various airlines, nothing amazes me anymore. I just do what I think is right at that particular time &, if it isn't, I try to keep calm or my BP hits the ceiling. No one Googles as much as I do for info on all subjects so if it goes wrong for me, well....
