Hiya mateys
Looking forward to Valencia Thursday with you & Pat.
Spent two nights in Almeria with (Jane b) Jane & her OH, Terry & (J&N) Jacqui & Neil & had a whale of a time, thanks to our wonderful hosts.
Gotta go, semijubilada coming any minute & I'm ten mins from home !!!

Unfortunately, I'm flying back to the UK tonight. My Dad is in hospital following major surgery last week and I am going back for a few days to visit him. It's been difficult being so far away through this and although I will miss hubby and the pups like mad, I cannot wait to see my Dad tomorrow. The operation was a success and his recovery has been as expected but I still needed to go back.
If you do have a get together, have a drink to my Dad for me.
Hopefully, I'll be back in a few days.

What we should do is to all congregate in little groups in our own areas at someone's house who has a webcam. We could then all have a "virtual" Christmas party  .

Can't you get Telefonica ADSL in Puerto Rey? We've set up wireless newtorks for various customers around there, and they all had very good ADSL connections.

I don't really want to be paying for a service (at up to €45pm) for something I will only use for 3 or 4 weeks per year. It also means having a live telephone line, which I am not crazy about considering we hope to have some holiday rentals. I have heard that a new commercial PAYG wireless network is being set up and trialled at the moment which covers Vera, Puerto Rey, Mojacar and Palomares. I will be looking into that when I am over in July, by which time the trial should be finished and in general use.

No not all year just yet. Will probably move out in around 3 years, once our Son has left school.
Yes Karen, we could have "virtual meets" anytime with a webcam, or even with a chat room if Justin were to add one. I think Skype allows you to have multi user "conference" calls for several users. That way, even those in the UK could still join in .

I use skype a lot, although sometimes the reception is not too good. But as we have broadband it's a good cheap way to keep in touch.

 I´m here again.
Had semijubilada & her OH here at ours yesterday for almost 4 hours.
All good clean fun, innit ?
