Information please

hi

we are hoping to buy a property in the torrevieja area near playa los locos  or la mata as we have been searching on the internet and quite like what we have seen in these locations. could anyone give us more information about these areas or any others nearby. we are looking for a one bedroom property within walking distance to all amenities hoping planning on coming out early next year to have a look. also if anyone could advise as who are good estate agents, lawyers etc, would be most grateful.

Going independantly to find a home in Spain is now getting more popular but  you still have to be cautious and treat buying with the same care as you would in UK

Like UK you have to be selective with agents  but there are a number on this Forum who offer a professional service and worth seeing when you are in Spain [sent you a PM]

It is normally better to get in touch before you go so that your visit is organised and you are only shown properties within your budget and criteria

But a good new 1 bed apartment built to current standards in a nice location starts at circa 99.000 € [ some re sales cheaper but some of the old build quality is not as good as it is now]

2 bed maisonettes from circa 104.000 € and any new properties built now have to have solar for hot water and 10 year structural guarantee

Always make sure that you get a bank guarantee for any deposits paid and never complete without the Final Habitation Certificate
