Hi everyone
WE ALSO HAD SOME ADVICE ON TAX IN SPAIN, WE ARE NON RESIDENTS AND HAVE A 80 PERCENT SPANISH MORTGAGE AND 20 PERCENT ON OUR UK PROPERTY ANY IDEAS HOW THIS WORKS OR I GUESS ITS JUST THE SPANISH MORTGAGE THEY TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION FOR TAX PURPOSES?

Yes it is only the mortgage registered against your Spanish prperty that is considered to reduce wealth tax.

Did you know Wealth Tax is only applicable to an individual? By investing your property into a UK limited company you are not liable for Spanish Wealth Tax! This is addition to savings on purchase taxes and seller’s taxes. I’d look into it!

Wealth tax in Spain has been abolished as of 18/1/08 READ EOS THREAD ON IT so 2007 is last year for which we cough up. (We pay a year in arrears !)
