Bank withdrawal

Does anyone know please what is the maximum over the counter amount I can withdraw from Santander Bank in Spain? Thank you,

There isn't a maximum if you ask for it in advance and they order it. Without notice, as far as I am aware in Santander there isn't a daily maximum so it will depend on what they have that day... but I wouldn't expect to get any more than €3000 euros without notice...

Thanks Ian ...I was told by someone if you want to withdraw more than 1,000 in some banks questions are asked as to what it’s for. Bit much when it’s your own money ... thanks 

Well, that's a different issue. Due to the new money laundering laws banks have to inform the tax office of any movements of 1000 euros or more in any bank account. You don't have to give a reason necessarily to the bank. But that can't stop you taking out more than 1000 euros. In the past it was 3000 euros or more before the tax office was informed.
