‘certificado de empadronamiento’ Discounts

I have been informed that if you are on the Padron you become eligible and benefit from certain discounts. I would like to know about these ‘certificado de empadronamiento’ discounts just to make sure I am getting them and I think these discounts maybe of interest to other EOS members. I already know about the 10% membership discount at the local Spanish domino club.

It depends on your ayuntamiento. Some offer significant discounts on IBI, also on water and basura rates. You may get discounted entry to local sport and leisure facilities. Or you may get nothing. Go ask at your town hall. Of course, you do know that if you are a full time resident, you are supposed to be registered on the padrón already?
