WELCOME TO SAN LUIS BOWLS CLUB
Hola to all Expats old and new. Do you fancy trying a new sport of BOWLING at San Luis Bowls Club? It’s a great way to get out and about; getting plenty of exercise, and a suntan, in the fresh air; along with making lots of new friends all over the Costa Blanca. You can also join in with a variety of social events through the year organised by the club. San Luis Bowls Club is open to all nationalities, although English is the main language used. We are a friendly but very competitive club. We are currently looking to take on new members for the 2017/18 busy winter season (September-April). We are aiming to enter an extra team this year in the South Alicante (Monday) league & also in the LLB Southern (Friday) league. With 4 teams across different divisions there should be plenty of games for everyone. During the quieter summer season (May-Aug) there is still plenty of bowling to suit all tastes. We welcome all bowlers, from the most experienced - to those who want to step up from purely “social” bowling to the league challenge. Even if you don’t want to take part you are more than welcome to come along and watch any of the many games going on, from the viewing areas. If you think the leagues are too much for you at the moment, come along and join in with the many fun competitions/roll ups that are open to all bowlers regardless of ability. If you would like to try lawn bowls for the first time you can contact the club Captain so that arrangements can be made for you to have some basic tuition, to get you started on a new adventure. Casa Ventura itself is a hub for the local area offering a wide range of activities, it has an indoor bar, with a log burner in winter, with darts and a pool table for a different challenge; or maybe an evening quiz. A variety of tasty snacks and meals are served in the bar/restaurant throughout the year – very welcome after a hard morning’s bowling. In the summer there’s an outdoor bar and also access to a large swimming pool, if you want to enjoy a dip during the hotter months.
