I recently obtained two batteries for my Nokia phone off ebay for £2.79 inclusive of shipping, you should find what you want on there.

However, as I am only a 'two weeker' in Spain who hasn't bought a property, you should treat this advice with great caution. 

Thanks for that, I thought there might be a shop selling parts for old phones in this area Torrevieja.....

There is a phone shop in Playa Flamenca and some of the local markets have stalls that sell you one

Also most electrcial shops will sell the multi chargers Carrefour, media markt, al campo etc (the Chinese shops may have them but I tend to avoid them)
