New EU rules know as the Mortgage Credit Directive are going to make it very difficult for foreigners in future to buy property in Europe with a mortgage in Euros if their income is in Sterling. If applied in it's proposed form it will kill the second home market everywhere in Europe stone dead.

Surely it would not be allowed in its present form
