I signed up for a flat in Corvera Golf in 2007. The flat never looked like proceeding and I asked Corvera to refund my deposit. Having had no joy with them I decided to take legal action and in May 2010 I appointed Maria Luisa de Castro at Costaluz Lawyers to fight my case. I never really thought I would achieve more than to absolve myself from any legal requirement to complete the purchase, but I was delighted to receive a cheque this month for almost all I was owed.

A big thank you to Maria and her gang! It was a long haul but you got there in the end.

As Sandra says, 3 years is nothing! I've been out of pocket for ten years now! Although, proceedings against the bank have only just started (after 2-3 years of sueing the developer).

Good luck to you all in getting justice. Recent cases have proven it is possible - if you can steer your way through the ridiculous Spanish justice system... Remember, we are British and not a push over and show them what you're made of.
