residencia and s.i.p.card

Hi,

I have a friend who is going back to england permanently

at the end of this month.

I asked her had she cancelled her residencia and s.i.p.card

and she told me that her solicitior said it is not neccesary.

surely this is wrong, what is the correct procedure.

my friend has had a lot of stress ect recently and I would hate to

think she will face more problems once she gets to england  if

she does not de-register here in spain before she leaves.

Re residencia card- surely she would have to cancel residency from UK somehow.If she needed medical treatment right up to the day she leaves on the plane she will need her residency status;would someone be able to cancel  on her behalf  once she's back in UK?
