My wife and I are now living in La Zenia, Costa Orihuela and have to get Spanish  Driving Licenses.  We are from Jersey and do not qualify for license exchange like the UK.  Could anybody please give us advice as to where we could get the details regarding the Medical, Highway code, etc, and what else we could do ourselves or what you can recommend? It would be highly appreciated.  Any recommendatin for a drivinginstructor, please?.

Exchange your Jersey driving license for a UK one?,   then exchange your new UK one for a Spanish one.

You can only do that if a. You are a UK resident and b. have a UK address.
There is a topic on EOS about the procedures on getting a license in Spain. Unfortunately I'm using a tablet so can't post a link but Google driving license in Spain and it comes up on the first page. Even if you went to UK you'd still have to get a provisional license and pass a test. There are plenty of driving schools in Torrevieja, autoescuela Torrevieja in c/ Ramon Galud gets good reports but remember you can only drive as a learner with a qualified instructor.
Best of luck.

Yes, you'll have to take a test. Even ifexchangd for a UK one, when then exchanged for a Spanish one it will come up that the original was Jersey & you'll be knocked back. Same when the Aussies do it.

Elderly woman here had to do it a couple of years back. Took 3 goes as she couldn't get the "putting handbrake on , on a hill insted of riding clutch" was  an  instant fail !!!

The first time you fail you need 12 hours more lessons before 2nd attempt. The 2nd fail means 24 hours more before 3rd.

They've got it sewn right up the car schools.
