Can any one advise. We have recently bought apartment near sabinillas balcony has hand rails but children could climb through. Need good advice re best solution. Our thoughts Perspex or glass positioned in front of balcony rails. Thanks

from memory there is some fencing stuff that would be perfect in the garden center down the road on the way to the roman baths.

that green type metal covered in plastic fencing stuff for keeping dogs in.

You can buy plastic netting by the sheeting, probably in a Ferreterías .  It is pretty rigid.  If you wire that securely to the rails of the balcony I think that will provide  safety.

I'd also think about any chairs or furniture you keep near or on the balcony in case children could move them and increase their height that way.  We put high bolts on our patio doors so that youngsters can't open the doors, so you might want to look into that possibility.  I wouldn't let young children on a balcony ever, unsupervised.  All the best.
