London Olympics good for Spain

Talking to my friends in Barca who run a small chain of hotels they tell me that bookings are up 100% on last year and they are now full for July and August.

They asked bookers as too why Barca this year and some indicated they would have gone to London but were put off by the fallout from the Olympics - high hotel prices, conjestion and security.

I guess they have also seen the lines at the airports and the awful weather for the Royal celebrations; and if they can't book good weather who can?

It's good for Barca. Is it the same on the Costas, I wonder; hope so as Spain need some good news?

 I love London as a City and spent a lot of my childhood there but......

Most of my Friends that live there are going away to avoid the olympics,i was in London In April and the already overcrowded infrastructure will explode in my opinion.

It will no doubt precipitate for the whole event and all for 24 Billion quid!! it's a good job there is plenty of money around at the moment!

It will a nice thing to look back on but i can see bookings for Spain going up this summer.
