Beaches on Costa

Hi,

We are about to make our anual migration to the Costa and staying around the Coin Guaro area. We normally head to the beach at La Cala if the kids want the sea. Can anyone recommend any other beaches around this area. I dont mind driving and will have a car to use. Any other points if interest in the area would also be welcomed.

We tend to stay out Coin Guaro way as we rent villas with a pool and seem to be able to get much more for the £ than nearer the coast, coin is only 30 mins drive to the coast any way. We really should buy the amount we come out but you here so many horror stories.

Beware, the beach to the west side of Cabopino port is Naturist and not a place to take the family, make sure you go east side towards Calahonda.

Believe me there's nothing nice about the naturist beach at Cabopino, mostly older men walking up and down all day, what do they say 'strutting thier stuff'

This nudiest beach only lasts for about 5 to 600 mtrs westwards from the port, the problem is you have to walk through it and out the other side, you are better driving a bit further west on the N340 and get off at Las Chapas or Elviria, some beautiful beaches there.

If you go to the end of La Cala beach ie from the headland up as far as the Oceano Hotel then that area is very good for snorkeling and kids really enjoy it.

The beach will be full of families.  They just won't be wearing swimming costumes.
