sports funding taking a hit

heard last night that the world motocross gp that was to be held in spain has been cancelled for the next 2 years because the government has pulled the plug on funding,i know this is low level motor sport but i wonder how long it will be before it reaches the top level training schools and the effects that will have on the spanish performances
