Hi everyone we are moving to La Zenia in a couple of months time, does anyone know of a good transport service provider doing house removals to the area from Ireland?

Hi Irishbird,

Came across this company on Torrevieja forum the name is Flagstaff Freight - number is 00353 872584051 - his name is Tony.  He apparently does removals from Spain to Ireland and England and I'm sure will do it in reverse.  No affiliation to the company just saw the name.  Hope it is of some help and good luck with your move.

Contact Nolan's transport as they have HGVs here the whole time on WX plates.

We used Nat Ross when we moved from Ireland to California and back a couple of years ago. I am sure they are going to Spain as well. I was very impressed with their professionality. Can only recommend them. A client of mine used the firm when she moved just up the road and was full of praise.

Thanks everyone your replys they have some great info in them, I will get on to the companies mentioned.

We will be moving from the midlands of Ireland from a small home so probably wont need  the bigger trucks. We were thinking we would have about 15 to 20cbmt when were ready to go... having sold and given away a lot of stuff by then.

I did get some quotes already and some are extremely expensive up to € 4K in some cases, which I think is daylight robbery.

I will keep fishing and see what else turns up we can delay a month or two if necessary so I have plenty of time.

Keep your eyes peeled when out and about if you would not mind for business cards offering the service

Thanks again.

Irishbird - Try the big haulage companies who might well have available space - many of these are always trying to make up loads depending whether the main purpose of their trip is bringing Irish goods to Spain or Spanish goods to Ireland. If you know anyone at all in the haulage business ask them who regularly does a run to Spain.
