I just read this article on The Resident about an armed robbery at the supermarket today.
Considering we go there quite a lot this is actually pretty scary!
There have been a few hold-ups recently, such as at some of the banks, but this is the first time I know of where actual shots were fired.
I really think this is a sign of the times and it's not going to get better any time soon. With the terrible employment situation here, there are just too many desperate people now.
Time to lock ourselves in??
