Good afternoon all.

Can you please help.

Is there a webiste that I can go onto that details all of the Worldwide Destinations that can be flown to from the new Malaga Airport.

I was led to believe that long haul flights would be operating this year, however, all of the websites that I visit show far flung destinations with 1 or 2 stopovers? This is not of interest to me. I am only looking for direct flights.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi...

Take a look at this link and scroll through pages1-4. They list all destinations served from Malaga.

Currently it would appear that the only truly international ie Transatlantic services are to Montreal, Toronto and New York.

All other destinations would be via Madrid Barajas or Barcelona El Prat.

Many thanks Foxbat.

Do you know if these longer haul flights are to be extended to other Airports in the near future i.e. Malaga to South Africa, Egypt, India etc. etc. or will it be a case of flying to the UK or Madrid to catch direct flights? I was told that the new Malaga Airport would be able to accommodate bigger aircraft and fly to airports far and wide.

I would appreciate any information you may have.

This is only guesswork but ...Probably won't happen until the new runway is opened and even then I doubt that there is a market for truly long-haul services.

From a financial standpoint, I would suggest that Malaga will remain essentially a regional airport albeit the 4th busiest airport in Spain.
