Cocoon telecom

Hello, has anyone  heard of this company cocoontelecom offering switch to bt for adsl and landline.

They are authorised distributors for BT, not a division of BT itself.

Depending on where you are located don't expect any vast improvement in ADSL speed...they use the same infrastructure as Telefonica...and so are limited by the same physical constraints. What they do offer is customer service in English for phone and ADSL services. Their top rated adsl speed is 6Mbs but again this is dependent upon location.

Rather like Telitec, then.  We decided to stick with Telefonica as, just as you said, geographical constraints decide what kind of speeds and service you get and their English customer service is reasonable.

We also found that Telefonica respond to threats of termination of service - we managed to get our bill reduced from 70 to 30 euros (internet, landline with free calls in Spain) by telling them we had found a cheaper alternative. They asked how much cheaper, we told them, they undercut!

Hi, this sounds interesting, but I am not sure how you have done that. I am connected with Telefonica on a really expensive tarif and I called them 5 times already and threatened I would cancel and I want a better deal as they doing it for new customers. They always told me this is only for new customers and nothing they can do about it, would be nice if you could give me a tip.

Don't bother with them.

Stick with what you got.

Better the devil you know. Tele-f may not be perfect but at least they are well known and here long term. They will reduce.

This company are not BT at all they are also over priced check out Telefonicas rates now 9.95 for the first 3 months and 19 after that make sure you deal with a well known company not this cocoon telecom. Here today gone tomorrow. You left in limbo!

Do not deal with BT, Cocoon or Arrakis.  Stick with telefonica.  The rest are cowboys.  They wont give you the service.  They will leave you in limbo with a bill for something you didnt get (ADSL for e.g) and with the hassle of having to go back to Telefonica anyway.

Cocoon Telecom are not cowboys but are an official and authorsied deler for BT in Spain. They are authentic.

I have been charged for 2 months of ADSL with these people and have had slow, intermittent adsl and then no adsl whatsoever, whereupon my calls stopped being promptly replied to with the end result that the company told me they could not deliver adsl and that I should go back to telefonica also that there was no point complaining to the management as they would not listen to me!.  Not very legit. if you ask me.  Back with telefonica now and perfect ADSL 24 hours.

If you have the maximum speed with Telefonica then in 95% of cases it doesn't matter who you chage to, the ADSL Connection will not improve.
