Cheap phone calls from Spain

hi has ahyone been threatened by the penalitys you may get  if you dont complete due to snagging issues

what do you solicitors say?

I would have thought any penalties would have been on KM as they have missed their completion date in the contract by more than 3 months.

We have just herd from KM that our apartment is ready for us to view, but we may not be able to get over to Spain until Feb 2008. Does anyone know how long KM is prepared to wait to finalise contracts. My feelings are that they are running at least 8 months behind schedule, and I am in no hurry to complete but equally do not wish to incur penalties for late completion.

Also does anyone know how long between the snagging and payment.

I would be grateful for any advice.

I am at a lost how they can do penalties but concerned my solicitor has brought this up I woudl have though that he would be arguing this for me

We heard a rumour (don't know how true it is) that Key Mare have "kicked" the builder off site and are now trying to sue him for delay in finishing the build.

As I say, not sure how true this is, but would have thought that if Key Mare are successful, we should be able to claim from them for the same reason.
