Hi All,

I have just half an hour ago had a call from my translator to say MASA have told her to ask me to go over next week to sign for the house!! Apparently it is all complete apart from the electric which should be connected by the end of the month!!

I told them that there is no way  MASA are getting any more of my money until it ready to move in to with electric etc.

Apparently all the houses will have electric by the end of the month - has anybody else had this news?

I'd be keen to hear, especially those of you already living out there.

We have been getting updates on a regular basis and enclosed in these updates is a message telling us that we must not arrange to go and sign up until we recieve a message from masa international, not grupo masa. 

As we know one is the builder and one is the estate agent so if you have a contact at MASA INTERNATIONAL maybe they can shed more light on it for you.

We think grupo masa (the builder) will try to push for earlier completion/signing but in all honesty we think we need to wait for habitacion certificates, mains electric, mains water etc. before signing.

After all, we have been on the recieving end of some poor completion advice from grupo masa, so tread carefully before going ahead and signing up because then the advantage is handed back over to them!

Thanks for your e-mail. Don't worry my reply to them this morning was that I will not be going out to Spain until I get a letter in writing advising me that everything is complete. Even then I am not going in August - if that's what they want -The earliest I am prepared to go is September. I do not intend to give them any more money until I know that I can move in with all electric & water etc.

It was grupo MASA that sent the message and my immediate thought was that  due to the financial climate in Spain at present they were in need of the money. All this time we have been told no handovers until all the infrastrucuter is complete, so why has it suddenly changed? Without a habitation certificate I will not be paying.

Obviously no one else has heard anything otherwise they would have replied or posted their own message.

Anyway to much waffle. Thanks again.

hi everyone

I have been chasing grupo Masa directly and via my lawyer in spain and the message is the same, the first houses to be handed over are in M13-M16, after that it will be M11,12, 53 and 24 - though in what order I dont know but these all make up the first phase so cant understand how they can be ready to hand over in M53 - bit strange.  They said they hope to be able to complete with me in Nov/Dec but it wouldnt be any earlier and i am in M24..
