advice needed for single mum

I have approached Atlas regarding cancelling our argeement due to the lateness of the development, they advised me to put it in writting to the contract department and that it could take up to two months, has any body else gone down this route and did it cost you anything did  Masa agree to refund your deposit? is any one else considering this action?

SORRY TO HERE YOU FEEL LIKE PULLING OUT OF (SG)

WE KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING IT AS BEEN FOR ALL OF US, AND HOW LONG IT IS TAKING.

BUT WE HAVE ALL GOT THOUGH THE WORST OF IT AND THE FINISH POST IS IN SIGHT..(OK END OF THE YEAR IF NOT BEFORE) 

TRY TO KEEP YOUR CHIN UP, AS SIERRA GOLF IS GOING TO BE A NICE PLACE TO LIVE AND VISIT AND TO MAKE LOTS OF NEW FRIENDS..

Like Rob says, sorry to hear you feel like pulling out of SG - it will be a great place to be when in full swing. Its only fair to say that a lot of people have been down this route, and, for different reasons, stayed on. I.m not sure if a cancellation letter would be accepted by your Agents, OR the Builders,  GrupoMasa (I assume  that Masa, as mentioned in your posting, are your Estate Agents).  As Rob rightly says, handover is very close, so my advice would also to stick with it, besides, why give GM the opportunity to make more money by selling at a price which is sure to be more that what you contracted to pay, when you could do the same thing, if thats what you want. Besides, just think of what you will miss out on, a round of golf with Rob & his £10 golf clubs, and free beer, courtesy of Eric (lovely fella) at the 19th, after the game.

Stick to if, Byro, its not long now!!

Hi Byro

look forward, not back and think of the rest of your days on what is going to be a quality development.

We are all hacked off, but the price you signed for will give you good equity in your pocket, don't put it in theirs by pulling out.

After all we have been through together, particularly on this forum it would be a shame not to meet you eventually.

However, only you know your personal circumstances so ultimately it is your decision.

We have all felt like you on more than one occasion, just don't knee jerk react and lose out in the long run.

Thank you all for the support and heplful comments i know it will be great when its done if it ever is ha ha ha   no decision made yet so as of now we are still going ahead beer and golf sound to good to miss though.
