would be interested  to know, ( as part of my research, prefer posting here in eye on spain for more open and probably unbiased opinion)

why are the communities in Hacienda Alamo, seems to have different Adminsitrators?

i have read here somewhere that the phases and communities are managed by different Administrators?

most resorts around has one Management.

i would have thought its better to have one adminstrator or managment for the whole resort ?

thank you all. Much aprreciated.

I believe initially it was just the one company administrating the different communities. However, other companies decided to bid for the business and made representations to various community presidents. The result was that some communities decided to use other companies. Our community decided to stick with the original administrators whose representatives are in the offices in the Spanish Village (though they may work for the other companies as well - I'm not sure about that).

Carmol2,

thank you for the reply. May i ask, how many communities in total Hacienda alamo has? It Seem 7 phases or so?

are all the villas considered one community? But apartments are separated?

Thanks again.

That's difficult to answe: for instance, our community on Phase II consists of three 'blocks' of around 12 houses each block, with each block having its own community pool. Looking at some of the Entidad minutes, those name at least 8 communities, but I'm sure there are more.

If I'm being honest the HDA set up is messy and  difficult to understand and explain but here goes.  There are villas within phases.  Each phase has x amount of small communities.  These communities each appoint their own administration. As far as I can tell this appears to be the same company.  Each community decides the rules, works etc for their individual communities. We then have an entidad and each community pays a proportion of their community fees collected into this entidad. The community fees cover the maintenance etc of your specific community. The  Entidad fee covers wider resort maintenance such as rubbish, tv, resort gardening and security.  That's my understanding but I accept I may not be explaining it very well as to me the set up is confusing. There are also apartments and these are in their in community with a different administration.

Having properties on other resorts that have one administration that does everything I can say from my own experience  that this much better, far more effective and dare I say it far cheaper!

Indeed it is a little confusing. Joss, explained it well:-)

I own properties in other resorts, it is effective to have one Administrator.

But i  think with HDA,  each phase when they were finished had different "Community statutes" made for them and thereby had become a separate individual " "entity ".

I have been told that most phases/ communities  shares or have the same old Administrator though. ( not sure)

i think , only the " el Oasis" private complex, was recently taken over my Mare Nostrum. (Mar menor golf resort's Administrator)
