As one of the six people who actually knows the full facts about this I feel I should post this one comment on the matter.
Sorry Paul it is not a fact that the party had to be moved.
All the gardens are communal to all the residents of the entire resort NOT just those that live in a particular garden. In gardens with 100+ owners there will always be someone who will find an objection to anything. The only complaint that we are aware of was from one owner who objected to residents from outside the garden coming to a party on their garden. After discussions this was not considered a valid complaint and so the party could of gone ahead on N4 if we had so wished.
All the owners on N4 were invited to the party and were asked to contact Graham if they had an issue but the owner who complained did not do this. As we did not know who the owner was we were unable to discuss their concerns with them, we were therefore worried that they may cause further problems by calling security on the night, which would of ruined the friendly atmosphere of what should of been a community building event. That is the only reason the event was moved.
Regarding you question of moving to another garden. I assume you mention J12 and N1 only because Cath and I live there?
It was arranged for N4 because that is were Graham lives and that is where he wanted it, the same as he held it last year.
We considered moving to another garden to avoid the person on N4 who complained but decided against it for the following reasons.
It was Grahams party so N4 was he's choice, like I say we could of held it there is we had choose to.
We required electric, water and toilet facilities. This had all been arranged with a number of owners on N4 wiling to open up their apartments for others to use.
The Karaoke was planned to be placed in Grahams terrace.
As we were not informed on the complaint until a few days before the event therefore we did not have time to arrange with other owners on other gardens to use their toilet facilities etc.
At the end of the day we all had a great evening out, I'm sure many more people would of enjoyed it had it been at N4 but such is life. Next time we wil do things differently.
