Electric/Water bill question

Hi,

As a part owner of an apartment in Jardines, I have a question. At the start we paid Polaris €400 for connection fees to be set up with water, electric, gas. These bills were then to be took direct debit from account. The other owner was over recently and we had utility bills, most were minimal but the first electric bill from IBERDROLA was €155, water from URBASER was €196. Both amounts had been took out of our account. Can anyone tell me what they might be for as they look as if they were bills for getting set up with water/electric, which we had already paid €400 for so don't want to have paid it again!!! Obviously bills were in Spanish too, but would like too know exactly what they were for?

Connction fee Iberdrola is circa 155€

Connestion Fee Urbaser for water is circa 196€

I do not know why you paid Polaris 400€ as these are paid by the owner by direct debitb to the utility company?

We were quoted the connections would be 400€ by Polaris and we signed a form allowing them to authorise connections which they did on our behalf we paid them nothing but Iberdrola and Urbaser took the connectio fees direct from our bank.

Not really sure whether we actually paid €400 as can't find any receipts regarding this amount, but €400 was estimated by Polaris for connections  as you said but actually can't check back that far with online banking so will ring bank Monday just to be sure. Only want to be sure that we didn't pay for something twice.....thanks!
