I didn't go for a furniture pack but have heard good things from DFS www.dfsspain.com/ and also Matt @ SF-Supplies www.sf-supplies.com

As for the development it 's coming on leaps & Bounds, a load of latest photos are below, must say La Isla looks great.

We used Insideright espana and I would NOT recommend them to anyone. A complete and total nightmare with some furniture eventually delivered 3 months late and only after withholding payment.

Hi

We used Matt from Spanish Furniture Supplies and can recommend him and Nicky. You can order as much or as little as you want. We ordered the full package and were very pleased. Telephone Number is 00 34 966 766 863. I made a list of everything I needed, he gave me a rough price and then we visited the showroom to choose fabric etc and the price was finalised.

Hi Mandy

Forgot to say they are based at Pilar de la Horadada, about an hour away from Condado and you don't have to be there when they unpack, they put everything in place if you want them to, even make up the beds.

Whoever you go to get a furniture pack I would suggest that you do not under any circumstances allow Villapac anywhere near your apartment. We went with them initially and it was the worst thing we could have done. Eventually got our money back and they removed their rubbish from the apartment. Eventually went with DFS and they were good as gold.

Dont discount nipping along to the the Polaris Homestyle warehouse (next to the head office) for a look as well, we were dubious about using them and while they are not the cheapest they delivered and installed everything any tears, we also wandered around all the local funiture guys 1st  and were generally dissapointed at the products and horrified by the inflated prices.

We brought a base pack from PW Homestyle and sat for hours with the designer planning out what would fit best and where everything could go  - it was very painless and allows us more time to sit in the sun when we get over !

Good luck with your hunting !

Mark

Hi

We used Murcia Furniture to kit out our 3-bed on Los Naranjos. They supplied everything you could ever need and did all the fitting. They did a fairly neat job too and everyting seems to be in working order. We did notice too that the prices have dropped considerably since we agreed our deal originally (about 6 months ago) - hardly surprising in the current climate.

btw - their outdoor furniture was a bit on the steep sife cost-wise ......

Hi

We originaly were going to have a pack with Murcia Furniture. It was Tina who hel;ped us . She is very bubbly & very helpfull. However we chanaged our minds and bought  everything Except electrical items over here in the Sales & got Allan from Teeside to deliver for us.

We contacted Carol Millar ( Angel babe Who is now our Key holder & she got us a great offer on all our ( White ) Silver goods.

Which were  delivered & installed while we were over there this last week..

If you want Carols email address I am happy to pass it on to you.

Didnt like DFS at all. thought the things looked cheap . but each to their own taste I supose. & they are no relation to DFS over here.

The other furniture package company Insde right.

We have a friend who`s company deals with them supplying items to them. We were advised as early as september last year not to go there as they  were making quite a few employees redundant & might not be in a position to supply goods by the time we were ready to buy

Best wishes what ever avenue you take

Jan

Just had my whole 2 bed apartment furnished by DFS in San Javier. Delivered everything on time and fitted all things that needed fitting. I chose solid oak dining furniture with leather dining chairs, and also OAK lounge and bedroom furniture, all the cabinets have dovetailed joints and are very heavy and solid. I went for viscolastic beds (which are very comfortable). I also had one of their Australian Thick Hide 3 seater sofas. It is leather all over and is very very thick but also lovely and soft. I could have had a sofa bed but didnt think we really had the space. The whole lot was under 5000e including TV which I didnt think was bad for the quality. Cora is fantastic, she co-ordinated everything. Her e-mail is info@dfsspain.com  Good Luck.

We also used DFS in San Javier & Richard was absolutely fantastic. We were under no pressure to buy anything, he advised us on what would fit/go & we have buying things from them ever since. Nothing is too much trouble, delivered, fitted etc to high standards. I still correspond with Richard on a regular basis & he is extremely helpful & lets me know where to get things if they dont supply it, ie air-conditioning, electrician.

Certainly not a decision to take lightly, so you're best having a good look around.

Good luck!

Hi

We used Murcia Furniture but wish we had used DFS.  The only reason we used Murcia Furniture was because they beat DFS on  price on the same furniture.  The furniture was the same but the kitchen pack is nowhere near as good.  MF did a good job with the installation etc but 4 weeks on and I am still waiting for some missing items but I guess you could get that with anyone.

Jo

DFS were fantastic, I went everywhere BEFORE I went to DFS (Cora from DFS told me to go everywhere else before coming to her) which I did. She told me alot of information that nobody else had, she told me to buy less items until I had stayed in the property, and many other things. I also added a bookcase after I had "lived the property" and i was given the same discount as my original order as an existing pack customer. I also went to MF and looked at the Bangkok range (Rioja at DFS) but I eventually went for the Oak range instead.

Jonew if you are missing some things might be worth contacting Cora to see if they can get them for you. I dont think you will be dissapointed.

We to used DFS, but only for some of our funiture, it is certainly worthwhile shopping about, like Jo we saw our furniture in MF, DFS and a place called Muebles Yugar in the port and they worked out cheaper for us at that time.  Certainly leather items in Spain are a lot more expensive but I felt  the  quality was better,  my tub chair alone cost in the region of 400/450 euros but I loved it and had to have it, Simon is still talking about how much he paid (But he is a Yorkshire man) enough said.   It is all down to personal choice and whether you can be bothered to shop about.  Not sure if I would be willing to shop when the sun is shinning, as we bought our furniture in the Autumn and the temps were really pleasant.

Ali

PS. Hope there is no spelling errors as I do not want the wrath of Kelvyn.

Hi Markbarrowman,

Think Kelvyn was posting a smiley face, think this is a MSN symbol that the kids use, but not sure.   You should have had a Capital letter at the start of your post but hopefully he'll not pull you up for that one, but who knows.

Ali
