Understand a new shopping plaza has opened in Aguilas in June - anyone been can advise what is there and where abouts in Aguilas it is located.

Aguilas Plaza is at the north end of Aguilas, just in from the beach and well sign posted. There is a large Eroski's there as well as fashion shops, opticians, hairdresser, orange & vodaphone phone shops, C&A and others including a key cutting shop. There is also a food court and bar upstairs as well as a couple of coffee shops down stairs. Underground multi storey free car parking and there are good sign posts to the get you to the Plaza all around the ring road. We go there every couple of weeks mainly to go round Eroski who sell everything. If you know Aguilas, it's quite near the Mercadona at the north end of the town.

It's not a massive shopping centre but all indoors and air conditioned and well worth a visit.

   BEEN A LONG TIME OFF THE POSTS HOW'S YOUR PROPERTY COMING ON, WE HAVE FRIENDS WHO HAVE JUST BEEN ON A VISIT AND TOLD US IT LOOKS GREAT, MAKES YOU WONDER WHY ALL THE PEOPLE ARE WORRYING ABOUT THEM BEING FINISHED. HAVE YOU BEEN GIVEN A DATE FOR COMPLETION YET, AS WE ARE ON PHASE 7 AND COMING OVER OURSELVES FOR A WEEK IN OCTOBER. YOU WOULD THINK PIENSA WOULD TRY AND GET THE HABITATION LICENCE THROUGH AS QUICK AS POSS SO THEY CAN GET THE REST OF THERE MONEY OFF US. WELL HOPE IT'S NOT TO HOT FOR YOU LOT OUT THERE AS WE ARE TAKING TO THE BOATS AS IT HAS NEVER STOPPED RAINING FOR DAYS. LOOK FORWARD TO GOING FOR A LOOK AT NEW SHOPPING ARCADE BUT WITH THE STATE OF THE POUND THINGS MUST BE GETTING DEARER AND DEARER EACH WEEK.

Not been online too much over the last few weeks, I was over in Sheffield for a couple of weeks as Dad passed away and since I got back I've been a bit disorganised. Our house is still on schedule for October completion on phase 4, we are waiting for them to let us know when we can go in to snag it. The builders are still working inside the houses on phase 4 although I understand ours is just about finished. I'm not sure how long the habitation licences are taking so that may add to the timescale a little. The majority of the houses are now looking finished on the outside and I understand they are focusing on finishing the insides of the ones they have sold and they will then do the others as they sell them. Because so many of them are finished outside there is little change to see and therefore not a lot to photograpgh different to what has already been posted.

Today we have 30 degrees in the shade, 40c in the sun and needless to to say beautiful blue skies and a slight breeze from the sea. Today we have a triathalon along the front so there are diversions around town, but as always the organisation seems to work well.

I must admit that I feel so sorry for you all back in the UK, but I am so glad we came out here in May and missed yet another rubbish english summer.

If you want to meet up for a drink when you are over in October, we would love to meet up with you.
