We are Yvette and Dave and live near Market Harborough in Leicestershire.  We don't play golf but our son who is 23 is a very keen golfer.  We play a lot of tennis and look forward to seeing the tennis courts completed.  We will be in the area for 3 nights commencing January 25th and have booked a room at the 525 Hotel in Alcazares.

This thread is a great idea!  We are from Newbridge, Co. Kildare (near the K Club and the Curragh Race Course - where the Irish Derby is held).

We have bought in phase 3 and cant wait to move in - we currently have an apartment further up the coast but wanted to live on a golf course so we could get our golf fix!

We have played the course a couple of times and it was really enjoyable - going over to Spain between 1st April and 8th April to play some golf and see how progress is going.

Have been told phase three will be ready in Oct 07 - anyone have any further info?

Hello everyone,

My name is Patrick and the better half is called Linda. We have 2 sons Thomas who is age 18 and Frazer is 10 years old going on 16. Frazer has just started to play golf and is now teaching me!!! Linda is a keen runner and is looking forward to running in the sunshine. Thomas is a student at Newcastle University so his main hobby is lying in bed!!!

We are originally from Motherwell in Scotland but have lived in Darlington Co.Durham for 20 years.

We have purchased on phase 2 and are hoping completion will be May. We are travelling over this Sunday for 5 days to look at furniture shops etc.

We are just back yesterday from a visit and were told that phase 2 would 'maybe' start to complete in May, but this would likely take around 2 months for everyone to be processed  -  I am going to post a full report on this and other topics but just thought I would forewarn you  !!   You will see from photos i am going to try and upload later that phase 2 is still a major building site, so May seems like a pipe dream to me !!  especially given that on Sat we were told that phase 3 (ours) was on track to complete in Nov but by the Mon when we met again it had moved out to quarter 1 2008  !!

We also have a nocturnal animal (Son) who sleeps most of the day at Leeds university, but promises to be a millionaire one day!

He will be with us (and his sister) at Roda next month. They are 20 & 22 respectively so I hope there are some Hed Kandi, and Drum & Base clubs pumping up the volume - big up 4 Roda!

Meanwhile Mother and I will be looking for somewhere more sedate playing Motown, or Ian Dury & the Blockheads.

We are from south shields, tyne & wear.Both aged 42 and have 2 grandchildren ( yes young grandparents ) We are on phase on and the place looks fab, going out on the 11th may for 1 week with my parents.So if anyone is out there at that time would love to meet up. Stewart and I are both  hitting the big 50 this year with two grown up sons Ian age 24 and Scott at 21 years young. We are all from Thurso, Caithness in the far north of Scotland near John O'Groats. We have bought a 2 bedroom penthouse on phase 2 and looking forward to some nice holidays there when complete. Not sure when we will be over next but would love to meet up with some of you guys hopefully in the future

Hey all just found this forum and joined up... My wife and I are from Aberdeen. We  put our deposit down on our a 3 bed villa on phase 11 in feb 05 when the site was just a pile of mud!! havent been out since but have been keeping up to date through our agent at MRI and the the various roda web sites.

Welcome to the site which I am sure you will find as useful and informative as Stewart and I have.  Nice to see others from north of the border. There are some very good threads in this forum and its encouraging to hear of other peoples experiences and see all the updated photos.

We also bought our apartment in phase 2 through MRI and have mixed feelings on their competence. We found them to be very efficient when it comes to trying to sell us more property, their furniture package, our mortgage thru Capital Finance and taking out their lifetime aftersales. I have to say that because we haven't taken out any of the afore mentioned they seem to have backed off and now we have very little contact from them.

I agree this forum has some very good info and it is interesting to hear about other peoples experiences so far... Its interesting to hear about your experience with MRI. We havent had any problems with them as yet and are looking to use them when it comes to letting out Villa when we arnt using it. Any thoughts on that.?

I hear that if you want to use Roda for the management of the lettings they want you to purchase the furniture package from them or they wont take you on??? And that the monthly % they take is sky high around 30-40%.

We completed on our apartment on phase one two weeks ago and will be coming out at the beginning of April for our first holiday. We have two children; a fifteen year old stressed-out daughter who is doing her GCSE's this year and a twelve year old son who appears to have a skateboard stuck to the soles of his feet and earphones in his ears. If anyone has similar aged offspring who might like to meet up then I'm sure mine would appreciate some new friends.

Looking forward to some relaxation in the sun and hope to meet up with some of you out there. Just hope the pools are warm enough to use.

We're from Dublin, with 2 kids aged 2 yrs 8 mths and 8 mths. We're phase 2 Corvera. We are heading out next month for a week so hopefully we'll take a few photos of Roda and Corvera and post them up.

I suspect we'll probably head over a few times before our place is ready, probably always staying around L.A. or Roda until Corvera is up and running.

Were from Athlone, Ireland with connections in Dublin and Mayo. HAve purchased in Phase 2 and have been promised completion in Oct 2007.

Intend to stay in a Roda rental from April1 to 6, 2007
