Hey flossy, your hubby is well trained but then he has to make up for his week of golf without you, doesn't he ?
Actually I tell the truth, night before last hubby asked me "Have you bought me a Valentine card ?". I said "no ". He said "good, that's ok then !" Mind you I saw on Martin's moneysavingexpert site that you could get a dozen red roses for your valentine from Morrisons for only £2.50 & he did go, bless him. (Sold out on Tuesday night though, I bet they only get so many a day in). He said they had some £29.99 Needless to say I haven't had any & that's ok with me as I hate wasting money. (He did turn up with 2 x 100gr blocks of Asda milk chocolate & 2 x 200gr Asda fruit & nut chocolate). My hero.

Mrs Gillespie is going to be overwelmed when I get home with her pressy. She has always wanted a real animal fur coat so I managed to pick up a nice "Donkey Jacket"....can´t wait to see her little face ;+)

Got home last night and hubby gave me a big box of Terry All Gold. Says ' You like dark chocolate don't you' Me 'No actually I hate it'. Certainly a case of the thought that counts. Bless him!
Obviously hasn't listened or noticed anything over the last 39 years then says I nag. Wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't a choc-aholic and have been all my life - something he nags me about.
Still ate the top layer of the box though. Well chocolate is chocolate and Terrys are rather tasty.

It's just another day really, isn't it ? Too much hype. If couples have "survived" 39 years together plus all those years leading up to incarceration marriage (36 in our case) it can't be that bad. I've had my share of cards over the years. I'd rather have a hubby who cares in other ways like he is doing shopping as I type.
