hi

we completed on our newly built apartment in dec 2008, do we need to do a tax return for last year? if so how do we go about doing this without asking our solicitor to act on our behalf as they charge between 150 - 200 euros for the service. i have read a few posts on EOS and there are companies who will prepare the forms for you and then you present them at your bank in spain or you can arrange for the "stickers" to be sent to your spanish address and do it yourself... the only problem is we will not be going out to spain again this year as our baby is due to arrive mid november!! WHAT CAN WE DO?? please help

also is this now the only tax we have to worry about or are there any other things to pay except the usual utilities, ibi??

thank you

 Dear Glenn and Kerry,

If you bought your property in December 2008, you will start to pay your taxes from January 2009. In that case until 2010, you do not have to pay any taxes.

Kind Regards,
