And I suppose holding his own child over a balcony was because of his lost childhood also!

Tinto - It was an overreaction to the reaction from the crowd!

From a man that had suffered tremendously through his Childhood and as an Adult, and was still really a Child himself!

Can any of us begin to imagine the pressures every day on a man that was quite literally world famous - an icon!

No! I know I can't!

I personally thought he was a fantastic showman and entertainer. i would go as far to say he is the greatest ever as although i was  a big fan of Elvis, Jackson did write all his own songs and choregraphed all his own dance moves which in all honesty puts him above the King.

Yes, he was a little strange but there is a very fine line between genius and insanity.......

I dont think we will see another star of his magnitude.

While we are talking of musicians and i do use this term loosely, i have never seen one man more dissapointed and 5,000 so releived when it stared to rain on centre court and they shut the new roof........no prizes for guessing who i mean......!

Oh lets not start being nasty. I've met MJ and his family, albeit many years ago but he was in no way strange or wierd (apart from Joe) He was a product of a very very bad abusive childhood, hence the plastic surgery because daddy told him he was' the ugliest' 'of all his children!!!! What a Ba******* Please don't judge Michael, pity him. RIP Michael

xx

Dissapointed! Why on earth can they not let him rest in piece in Neverland, restore it to its original state and keep it there with a theme park and everything else for kids to enjoy and fans to grieve!

Apparently in America it is against the law to be buried anywhere other than a cemetery

I have many thoughts about what I have just witnessed. I feel sad at the loss of such a talented entertainer.....however, I do not understand why they felt the need to place the casket in the front row and I cannot believe they put those children on stage after MJ tried so hard to protect them from the craziness of fame! He was a brilliant entertainer and did alot for charities. He was not the messiah or the second coming!

I was also surprised his children were sat chewing gum, looking bored out of their minds like that was an every day occurence!

I was eager to watch the tribute initially, but found it a bit boring to be honest.

Many of the speakers were on a mission............parts of it sounded like a political platform.

I wanted to see more singing, the tribute should have been totally about music, that's what MJ was about.

As for the family on the stage at the end, not sure if that was what a grieving family should do, especially his children.

This funeral was "billed" as "going to bigger than Princess Diana's"

I would sit and watch hers again any day,

MJ's?                No fanxs!..........

I didn't see it all, but I did find some of it quite moving. I didn't mind some of them playing the race card, who could blame them? What did make me cringe was the preacher bleating that there was ''nothing strange''  about MJ. I think he lost any credability at that stage. MJ was no doubt a massive talent who made the majority of pop stars look very average, but he was very strange in his last few years.

They've just announced on Sky News that MJ's death is being treated as homicide.
