hi all
just read about the progress the c,d,s action group is making with palmera and mirador on their website it looks as though they both are begining to see the light hopefully it will mean the start of everybody getting their monies returned,

Hello All,
just to let you all know that after recently joined the forum and read all the news regarding PP, I am joining the Action Group and have already passed my paperwork on to Gwilym. I have had a few email chats with some of you already.
I wish i had found this site earlier.
I paid a 20% deposit back in April 2004 for an apartment in Torremolinos and I've trying to get my money back since July 2007 but to no avail.
I also paid 10% deposit on 2 villas in Jumilla, Murcia 2 years ago.
The latter i have contracts for if that makes any difference with all the clever wording. Only time will tell.
The apartment has 8 units and I think the rest of the owners will be joining the action group as well.

Welcome to the forum, I don't know much about Palmera but I hope you get your money back and don't let it put you off buying in Spain. Until I joined this forum I had no idea of the amount of people who have had awful experiences. I hope you and many other members here who are in the same position can get their problems sorted out.

Hi, my name is Nigel Goddard , purched property through Palmera 3 years ago and can echo sentiments expressed. Construction changed without my knowledge, customer service non existent , don't reply to emails etc and make promises re compensation no intention of keeping . When signing date looms try to pressure you through builder and lawyers to complete on their terms or threaten loss of purchase. If you feel you must use this ' firm ' get everything documented , signed proof read and run by INDEPENDENT lawyers before parting with money but I for one would never consider using them again.

My advice is to join the action group. There are over 40 families taking the owners to court, if the owner of Palmera Properties does not return monies, he risks the possibilty of a jail sentence. Company Directors in spain cannot walk away from the affiars as easily as you can in the UK. http://www.costa-action.co.uk/
He has now setup a new company in his wife's name. Not very nice people.
The offcice in Benalmedena is now closed with Anita working in a small office upstairs (side entrance) and taking all the abuse from people.
2 British Guys tried to have a face to face with Gotardo the owner and met him in a Hotel. He called the police and accused them of kidnapping. The 2 are now in jail with a possible 2 year wait for their case is heard in court.

Thanks for the prompt reply, if you or anybody connected with it could give me the details to make contact with them I would appreciate it. Due to the short time frame my most urgent priority is to get the solicitors advice on my position regarding signing and the provision of any further funds to the 'indepent lawyers ' in the circumstances.

Well you have to laugh don't you - has anyone seen the latest on Palmera;s website - saying that they are now offering solutions - by trying to off load the properties they can't sell to the people they have already robbed! How come they haven't written to everyone direct and how come its taken 3 years - we haven't had a single solatary piece of correspondence from them since we signed a contract nearly 4 years ago! sign the nets closing in on them...

yes ive seen it , Gutardo the director phoned me last week to see if i wanted to view any , i said i did not and just wanted my deposit returned unless he came up with an app bargain, he said to me to email him to which i have done and he would send me a reply with a good solution to try and settle this without court case, i am still waiting for his reply ,

don,t know what it all means sent all this info to our lawyer but he has,nt replied yet somebody else on the forum was told by there lawyer there was an embargo on palmeras properties but who knows.we go to court so we won,t be taking them up on there offer until somethin g is sorted out legally

Hi all, not posted for a while. Must echo the sentiments of Gotardo Rodriguez in offering a solution. Ignored ,lied to, and ripped off for 4 years , now crawls out from under his stone ,asking for more money ,to get an allternative, sub standard piece of garbage he obviously cant dump off anywhere else ,located in the middle of nowhere. I hope our lawyers note these developments ,so they can be siezed and sold to pay us all back.I hope nobody is being stupid and gulible enough to fall for any of this bull. If he wasnt facing pending doom he would be sticking his fingers up to us all.

could not have put it better myself,we just want our money back and decide ourselves what to do with it and it certainly won,t be a property put up by palmera propereties,it even pains me to say the name now

I think its just another delaying tactic - one they have played for the last 4 years - my solicitors are still waiting for a list of the properties they are supposed to be offering as alternates - wonder if they will throw in compensation for the loss of interest on our money , loss of potential investment earnings, legal fees etc with the alternative apartments??

Gutardo phoned me again yesterday, this guy is getting desperate, he said to me i could have a property in costa blanca in sax for an additional 50 to 80,000 eoros to which i replied your having a laugh and told him to return my 52,000 euros or sign a prop in my name for the 52,000 ive already given them , he told me court case could drag on for a couple of years to which i said i have waited 4 years whats another 2 or 3 , at the end of the day this guy doesnt fancy doing porridge

Have you seen the latest lies and propaganda put out on the PP website.. They claim many have taken up their generous offer and are now [cringeable cliche]! living their dream in the sun through Palmera Properties. So since this stunt Rodriguez put out 2 WEEKS AGO, many of us have been on inspection trips , handed over hundreds of thousands of euros to him, signed at notaries, sorted and furnished the properties,moved and are now living in Nirvana!!!! you couldnt make it up !!!! Who says things dont happen quickly in Spain. Imagine it here , We aint giving you the new house in Oxford you bought 4 years ago ,but give me more money and I will give you a flat in Halifax.....
Anything it seems, NOT TO PAY ANYBODY BACK.

Thought this bit was good "Despite all the rumors and internet false information Palmera Properties is still trading and giving solutions to many customers affected by various developers."
