Hughes Satellite Internet Dish and DW6000Router. 5 yrs old. Good condition.

The dish is 1.20 metre wide, on a steel cradle, mountable on a wall or roof.  Weighs under 50 kg.
It needs a clear line of site to the southern sky to work. Your local Sat people can set it up, though there are also specialists all over Andalucia. Typical set up fee 300 €
Coaxial cable runs from the dish receptor to the modem router, and from there you can install LAN RJ45´s or set up wireless for your computers.

The connection speeds are fast, but choked depending on the subscription you pay to the hughes network provider. We paid about 100€ a month. The download we enjoyed was 512 k. Uploads are slower, and for this reason there is no chance of successful VOIP, ..people can Skype you , and you can answer, but all they will hear is a Dalek when you speak.

The benefits of an uncontended connection are that you have a service independent of and free from  traditional wired telephony. This system works without Telefonica ever having to be involved.
