and then on the morning of completion wait for the delivery to arrive before heading off to notary.
But you do have to be careful these days carrying lots of cash - there's a lot of crime out there.

The current rate at our Cajamar is going to be 0.01% on the amount we want the draft for.
Luckily it is a lowish amount (a we are only at the deposit stage), so around 8Euros.
We would prefer to pay this for peace of mind (plus we have been told notaries do not like large sums of cash being waved around!)
